The first significant events
Alexandros Mograine appeared in the story for the first time when the siege of the Black Mountain was underway during the Second War. He already had at that time the high title of the paladin of the Silver Hand. In one of the battles, he captures a dark artifact, killing an orc warlock. When touched, Alexandros strongly burned his hand with dark magic. Instead of handing over the item to the Alliance leadership, he showed it to his Order brothers. Mograine wished them to find something similar, but filled with the magic of light. The paladins decided to destroy the dark artifact with the power of light, but instead the ball absorbed it and became completely light. He cured the hand of Mograine, and then he decided to create a weapon out of him, which in the future was called the "Cinder".
Dark plans
Together with the loyal three fellow paladins, Alexandros Mograine went to Ironforge to King Magni. He mourned the loss of his brother Muradin, whom the Scourge had killed. When he found out about the Silver Hand, he immediately set to work. Magni got to work on his own. Later, he will say that he could not create a better work than the "Cinder". The sword was filled with light magic and on the battlefield could destroy hordes of undead. Soon, Kel'Thuzad himself drew attention to the victories of the Silver Hand forces. The powerful sorcerer who created the new creatures in the Lich King’s army understood the need to eliminate Alexandros Mograine. He already had the title of Supreme Lord and commanded the entire Order of the Silver Hand. He turned to Balnaazar, who controlled the body of Saidan Datrokhan. The Demon from the Burning Legion did not want to recognize the power of the Lich King, but saw a threat in the High Lord for himself. That is why he agreed to help in the murder.
Betrayal and death

He said goodbye to life because of the intentions of Kel'Thuzad and Balnaazar. The Natrezim of the Burning Legion took advantage of the position of Renault Mograine, whom his father fully trusted. With his magic, the demon clouded the guy’s mind and ordered him to bring Alexandros, along with High Inquisitor Fairbanks, to a fortress called Stratholme. He did so, and inside an army of undead attacked the warriors. The inquisitor was the first to fall, Renault managed to escape, and Alexandros held the defense for a long time. Soon he was tired, too, so that he dropped the "Cinder" from his hands. At this moment, the son returned, who raised the weapon of light and stuck into the body of his father. The artifact was desecrated, and Renault could no longer hold it in his hands. The sword remained in the body of the High Lord, who died in Stratholme.
Resurrection
The story in the WoW universe of Alexandros Mograine does not end there. After some time, Kel'Thuzad reached the body of the former paladin. The sorcerer resurrected him, but already as a Death Knight. After that, he became a puppet in the hands of the Scourge. He was ordered to head to Naxxramas and take the place of one of the riders. At that moment, his second son Darion was in Silver Dawn. He began to see strange nightmares at night. It was a signal from Alexandros asking him to be released from service to the enemy. With a small detachment of knights, Darion managed to break through to his father and even select the “Cinder”, but remained the only survivor. Later, in the Scarlet Monastery, the defiled soul of his father reached Renault, who died at the same time because of his betrayal. Later, when attacking the Chapel of Last Hope, Darion drove his father’s artifact into himself, killing undead in this way, and freed the soul of his parent.
