The use of various roofing materials
As a roofing material, metal tiles, ondulin, cellular polycarbonate and sandwich panels are used. Each of these materials has its own merits. Cellular polycarbonate - the material is very light and transmits light well, and sandwich panels are characterized by good thermal insulation properties.
Much attention should be paid to the place where the roof adjoins the building wall, since leaks should not be allowed. If the installation of the rafter system is carried out using metal tiles, then a stroba is made in the wall and the drainage is attached to it. For tightness, all joints are coated with special mastic. If you are installing a rafter system where cellular polycarbonate is used as the roofing material, then a polycarbonate sheet is taken either 8 mm thick if insulation is to be carried out, or 24 mm thick if it will be made. Cellular polycarbonate is designed specifically for outdoor installations, so a layer is applied to its outer surface that protects it from ultraviolet radiation.
