On products for children and adults, you often need to make the beginning of the canvas stretching. To do this, there are special techniques for a set of loops for an elastic edge. Moreover, they are designed for both knitting needles and for the hook. Therefore, needlewomen with any knitting can choose a convenient technique.
A set of knitting loops of elastic edge as the basis for elastic
This technology is also called the Italian kit. The work is supposed to start with knitting needles half smaller than the main canvas. Loops need to be dialed in half less than then needed for drawing. To knit, you need a small thread of contrasting color.
Take two threads together. Auxiliary wrap around the thumb. Throw the main one through the index. Loop as usual. On the knitting needles there should be loops from the main yarn, and the auxiliary will be stretched through them.
After this set of loops for the elastic edge, you need to connect the first rows with the same knitting needles:
- between the two hem, the wrong side and the yarn alternate;
- those loops that were seamy in the last row, to be made with the front stitches;
- the third and 3 more rows are supposed to be knitted similarly to the second.
You should get an edge that visually looks like a three-row knit. Now you can switch to ordinary knitting needles and knit 1x1 elastic on all loops.
Take out the auxiliary thread through two rows. Small loops will appear along the bottom edge. Now you need to find the leftmost one and pull it. All the rest will hide in a small tail of the outer loop.
Stretchable Loop Loop Set
It is convenient to apply at the beginning of work. But needlewomen are advised to use such a set of loops for the elastic edge needed to lengthen the row.
This technique does not involve leaving a long free end. It is enough to take the thread so that it is enough for one loop, which is performed on one needle.
Now you need to shift it to the left hand. Take the free one to the right. On the far wall of the loop, knit one front. Remove it to the one that is already on the left spoke. Continue this knitting until the desired chain is typed.
Set of loops "elastic edge" crochet
It is necessary in products where a regular set pulls together its bottom or top. Elasticity is especially important in children's things. Needleworkers can choose any of the proposed options (there are 4), depending on which is more suitable for a particular product.
Based on a half crochet
Start relies on a chain of three air. Double crochet, hook at the top of the chain. Pull the thread. Knit a loop in it. There are three loops on the hook at this moment. Now it is necessary to pick up the thread and knit all the loops. Repeat crochet pattern. But you need to enter the hook at the beginning of the top column.
Based on double crochet
For this set you will need a chain of four loops. Double crochet and stretch the thread through the first air chain. On it, tie a column with a crochet. Then double-crochet and insert the hook into the base of the previous one. This will be the basis for starting another double crochet. Continue knitting such items.
Two more ways to crochet a stretch edge
Single crochet
In fact, this set of loops for the elastic edge repeats the two previous ones. Only the basis will be a chain of two air. Then you do not need to double crochet. Immediately insert the hook at the beginning of the chain to stretch the thread. On it to tie the air. Then knit two loops on the hook. Repeat for another single crochet until the end of the elastic stacking chain.
Based on connecting loops
To start it again, a chain of two air loops is needed. As in the previous method, insert the hook into the first and pull the yarn. Pick up the thread again and knit both loops on the hook. Pull the thread from the base of the connection column. This is the basis for the new connecting post. They are supposed to knit to the desired length.
