Dicenter is a member of the Dymyanka family and is a herbaceous plant that came to us from East Asia in the early nineteenth century. Now there are approximately 20 of its varieties. The dicenter, the cultivation and care of which is carried out not only by many professionals, but also by amateurs, is found in various variations on the flower beds, borders and flower beds. The height of the bush, depending on the type of plant, reaches one meter, despite the fact that the root system goes quite deep. Thanks to the green leaves of feathery shape, even after flowering, the dicenter does not lose its elegance and attractiveness. Flowers on the bushes have a variety of shades, from dazzling white to deep pink. Very interesting is their shape, which resembles a split small heart. The flowering period of the plant is an average of 40 days. On the base of the petals are cavities filled with nectar, and small-sized boxes containing seeds are the fruits of the garden flowers of the dicenter. Growing and caring for a plant begins with choosing a place for planting.

The plant is not considered too whimsical regarding the growing conditions and location, but for planting it is still better to give preference to a well-lit area. As for the soil, the plant loves fertile and light soils, whose moderate humidity is the most basic requirement for flowers such as a dicenter. Cultivation and care begins in the fall with the preparation of the chosen place, which must be lightly fed with mineral fertilizers. The plant has a solid root system in size, and therefore the pits for planting should have a diameter of at least half a meter. Landing is carried out only after the hole is filled with water and settles for several weeks. Growing dicentres can begin both in autumn and spring. In the first case, the entire preparatory process described begins in September, and in the second, the flowers are planted in holes that have been wintered in this form.

Care and Disease Control

As for a plant like a dicenter, growing and caring for it is not a complicated process. In this regard, timely watering, weeding from weeds, cultivation, and also treatment against pests are necessary. During frosts, it is advisable to cover garden flowers, for which a lightweight non-woven structure is suitable. In hot periods, you can add a little humus to the soil, and mineral top dressing is carried out during the growing season. After the ground part turns yellow in the fall, it is cut off. There is no need for any special shelters. In the form of five-centimeter stumps, the center remains to winter. A magnificent flower bed, in turn, can grow as a result of the propagation of a flower by seeds, by cuttings or dividing the bush. These garden flowers are quite resistant to the appearance of possible diseases. However, to prevent them, it is advisable to prevent thickening of the landing. Plus, do not forget about the timely removal of weeds. The soil under the bushes can be treated with a formalin five percent solution, and the plants themselves - with agents that are designed to combat cicadas and aphids.
