We master the "skin" of a predator
As a basic clothing for this fancy dress, any plain clothes in yellow-orange colors from the ones in the wardrobe will do. Well, if the top and bottom will be about the same shade. You can choose any color, from light sand to brown, and shades of red will do. A great lion costume will work out if you take overalls or a hoodie as a basis. If an outfit for a girl is made, you can choose a dress or skirt and turtleneck in a suitable color.
The main thing is mane
The most interesting element of the costume is the lion's mane. A simple option for a woman’s outfit is semicircular ears on the rim to match the basic clothes. If you make a lion costume for a boy, you can’t do without a lush mane. Take pieces of fur, the edge of the old jacket or hat is suitable. The selected material can be sewn onto the hood of a sweatshirt or make a fur bandage. To make it, you will need a small piece of elastic fabric, which we sew in a ring to the size of the head. Next, we sew or glue the fur onto the resulting workpiece. You can also make ears - from pieces of felt or a similar fabric, you need to cut out two semicircles and attach them to the base bandage, decorating the joints of the materials with fur. The lion costume will turn out no worse if you make the mane out of fabric or yarn. In this case, you need to cut the material into strips of equal length and sheathe the bandage so that the ends of the fringe fluff.

An interesting option to complement the
costume of the king of animals is bracelets on hands made in the same technique as the mane. You can also make a tail, for its manufacture, take a fairly wide strip of fabric to match the trousers or skirt, sew along one edge and twist. Then sew a brush made of the same material as the mane. The finished tail can be sewn to clothes or made removable with an elastic band. The lion costume can be made more interesting by applying makeup to the face.
