Lush carnation from a napkin: a flower that will not fade

A handmade carnation from a napkin is a rather simple decorative element that can act as a decoration for a festive table, interior of a room or a children's fancy dress.

Such simple crafts are also well suited for conducting classes on children's creativity. Colored carnations (a masterclass from napkins includes literally several stages) are made by teachers of kindergartens and elementary grades, as well as by mothers at home, in order to develop fine motor skills of children's fingers.

Below, we will consider the basic methods for the manufacture of paper flowers imitating carnations.

Necessary tools and materials

First of all, you should prepare the main material from which the clove will be made: thin paper. Layered wipes are best suited. In this case, one-color material of different colors should be chosen. It is not at all necessary to monitor the observance of certainty when selecting colors. However, a color close to natural will only add to the flower of the glasses.

If it was not possible to find suitable napkins, you can colorize white. This delicate work is best done with watercolors, they will allow you to get smooth color transitions.

A beautiful carnation from a napkin is obtained when the contours of white petals are painted with purple or pink felt-tip pen. To make stems, you need to prepare green napkins.

1. Sharp scissors.
2. Stapler.
3. Durable thread.
4. PVA glue.
5. Wire or wooden skewers.

How to make cloves from napkins: the easiest way

For such a clove, several napkins are needed: from two to six. Each of them needs to be folded "accordion" and wind in the middle with thread, tape or tape.

It is important not to damage the material (do not cut it with thread). To get the spectacular uneven edges of the cloves, you should cut off both ends of the resulting rectangle with scissors so that sharp teeth come out (as in the photo).

Then it remains only to separate all layers of folded napkins.

1. Fold several napkins (4-7) into four parts and fasten in the center with a stapler.

3. We apply the template to the napkins, circle and cut along the contour.
4. A self-made clove of napkins can have even or dissected edges. If you decide to stay on the option with smooth edges, they should be slightly wrinkled. If you want to get a more magnificent and voluminous flower, you should make shallow cuts (two centimeters) along the entire contour.
5. If the flower is glued to the surface, its base should be wide and flat. If you need to attach the stem from a piece of wire, you need to form a loop with long “tails”. Two holes are made in the center of the napkins and the “tails” are threaded into them, and then twisted.
6. Then, all layers of cloves in turn raise and form a volumetric flower as shown in the photo.
7. At the last stage, they take a skewer or a strong wire, tape the “tails” around the edge of the wire with tape and then wrap it all together with a green napkin and seal the edge.

Such a carnation from napkins with your own hands can be decorated with leaves cut from green material.

How to arrange a composition

Carnations can be used as a standalone decor and in combination with other colors. Usually they are planted on the stems and collected in bouquets. The more colors there are in the composition, the more attractive and fuller it is.
