Have you ever seen the light tunnel on Tversky Boulevard? What is he like? Let's consider this design in the article. It is known that in December 2015, as part of the Christmas Light festival, on New Year 's Eve, an amazing tunnel was installed on Tversky Boulevard, 100 m long and 3.9 m high.

In 2015, the light tunnel became a convenient landmark and turned Tverskaya Boulevard into the most romantic area for festivities. It is known that in Moscow people often schedule meetings in the center of the lobby of a metro station. But it’s better to expect your fellow traveler in the open air - in the middle of a gigantic light installation, equipped with 21 km of blinking garlands and decorated with 700 moving snowflakes.
The festival
The light tunnel was not the only decoration of the capital. The first Moscow international festival “Christmas Light” was held in 2016 from December 18 to January 10. Bright installations and unusual lighting designs appeared on 20 sites: at the fairs of the Expedition to Christmas festival and pedestrian streets.
In total, the city was decorated with about 20 art objects and 10 significant installations. At the same time, light geography was not limited to the center of the capital: Christmas and New Year art objects appeared in Zelenograd (Youth Square), in the Eastern Administrative Okrug (Semenovsky Square) and the Northern Administrative Okrug (Khachaturian Street).
In addition, nine sparkling compositions made in the form of numbers - the number 2016, were installed not only in the center of Moscow, but also in other metropolitan districts. Also, in the framework of the festival, 17 two-meter chandeliers appeared over Stoleshnikov Lane, and luminous balls were placed on Poklonnaya Hill, onto which a picture was projected, creating the effect of an enchanting shadow theater.
Boulevard
Tverskaya Boulevard is a great place for unhurried walks both in summer and in winter, especially on the eve of the New Year. In recent years, it has turned into one of the sites of the capital's festival “Expedition to Christmas”.
To make people remember the amazing celebration for a long time, a fabulous installation was placed on the boulevard - a light tunnel 100 m long. Its flicker did not leave anyone indifferent. Many people walked inside this design and then shared spectacular selfies with friends.

The light tunnel is an amazing creation of human hands. Since 2015, the Expedition to Christmas festival has become the greatest in Europe. It was visited by ten million people - this is the limit. A rich program awaited the guests: entertaining master classes, New Year's souvenirs, vibrant street theater shows, concerts, dazzling light installations, delicious food and an unforgettable joyful atmosphere.
During the Christmas holidays, the playground was open from 11:00 to 21:00 on weekdays, and from 10:00 to 22:00 on weekends. It was open on December 31 from 12:00 to 03:00, January 1 - from 15:00 to 21:00. Probably, this year the schedule of her work will be identical.

How to get to the light tunnel on Tversky Boulevard by metro? It is known that Tverskaya Street runs northeast from Bolshaya Nikitskaya to Pushkin Square. In fact, it is located in the center of Moscow. Tverskaya Boulevard is also a section of the Moscow Boulevard Ring. On Tverskaya Street there are a little more trees than theaters. From there you can get to Pushkin's parade ground. You can end the walk on Revolution Square.
So, from the metro station "Theater" go to the Bolshoi Theater. Here in 2017, during the Christmas holidays, a light composition was installed, similar to the crown from the play The Nutcracker. Next is the Central Department Store, which before the New Year shimmered like a precious diamond.
Then go forward a little and you will see the Kuznetsk bridge. On New Year's holidays, a fair was placed here in houses representing glass stalls decorated with LEDs. Next, go to Stoleshnikov Lane in the direction of finding the city hall. At Christmas, all the streets were dressed up identically with LED trees.
On New Year's holidays, a fair is always taking place near the city hall aimed at showing on TV - everything is European and very beautiful. Next, go to Tverskaya Street and get to Pushkinskaya Square. As part of the festival, here, near the monument to Pushkin, was located the composition "The Musical Forest", and on Tversky Boulevard - a light tunnel.
At the beginning of Tversky Boulevard the Aleatorika 2017 was posted. Many people during the holidays went through the tunnel, behind which you could get into the ice town, designed to play snowballs.
