On January 14, 2013, Gambit was founded as a result of the transfer of players to the League of Legends from the Moscow Five team under the Gambit Gaming brand. At the end of 2015, the company announced plans for the next gaming season. It became known that she intends to open units in various gaming areas, including one of the most promising ones - Counter-Strike Global Offensive.
First squad
The Gambit CS: GO team included professional players from the CIS countries who had already managed to excel in various tournaments, where they took part in other teams.
The main backbone of the team at that time was composed of former members of HellRaisers - Dauren AdreN Kystaubaev, Rustem mou Telepov and Mikhail Dosia Stolyarov. Also, they were joined by the Finnish player (who lived most of his life in Russia) Jan Waylander Rakhkonen and Dmitry hooch Bogdanov.
After some time, coach Alexander beast Yakovlev joined the team. He himself said that he was very happy to return to cyber sport in a new role for him. Naturally, he added that the team has big plans for the future and that they are waiting for the opportunity to get to the major championship.

The management of Gambit Gaming has set a goal for its CS: GO unit to get into the top ten world teams in 2016 in the framework of this game. The training base was located in St. Petersburg, but at the same time, its representatives announced that the Gambit CS: GO team would travel to all major world championships.
First matches in the professional arena
The team held its first match in the professional arena as part of the SLTV CIS Minor Championship. The first pancake was not at all lumpy - Gambit took first place and earned $ 30 thousand from a prize fund of $ 50 thousand. True, in the future the results of the team left much to be desired. The fact is that in subsequent major championships, they now and then occupied third and second places. Before the victory was missing quite a bit.
Composition changes
After a series of setbacks, Jan Rahkonen posted a post on Twitter where he announced his departure from the team without any explanation. But the leadership of Gambit Gaming told everything in detail: the team and Ian did not manage to get along.

The leadership of the Gambit Gaming team found out about such fraud. It stated that Dosia, Adren and Mou - those who were part of the national team - will be fined one third of their monthly salary. In the same month, the team began to seek a replacement for Space. According to management, he did not treat training properly and made many critical errors that led to defeat. As a result, he was removed from the main structure.
Emil kUcheR Akhundov came to replace Ivan. By the way, this guy already had experience playing together with most of the Gambit CS: GO roster, as he played under the banner of HellRaisers. By the way, the changes in the team did not end there. Beast coach left his post.
In October, the organization was rebranded. Gambit Gaming was replaced by Gambit Esports.
After such permutations, the updated squad took first place in the Adrenaline Cyber League tournament. However, immediately after the victory, Emil Akhundov and Dmitry Bogdanov left Gambit. The organization itself argued this strategic decision by the fact that the team after a successful performance at ESL One: Cologne Major reached its peak, only losses and failures followed. He needs a radical change.
The first member of the new roster was Abay H0bbit Khasenov, who became a Gambit player on loan. But the team captain never appeared. It required a confident leader who would lead Gambit along, whose words would not be discussed, and the commands were executed clearly and without question. This was Daniil Teslenko, better known under the nickname Zeus. This man once helped make Na'Vi one of the strongest CS: GO teams in the world. Largely thanks to Daniel, this Ukrainian team began to be recognized in any part of the e-sports world.
As a result, the new composition of Gambit KS: GO included Daniil Teslenko - captain, Abay Khasenov, Dauren Kystaubaev, Rustem Telepov and Mikhail Stolyarov. The place of the head coach was taken by former Gambit analyst Rustam Tsagolov - TsaGa.
The training base of the team was moved to Kiev. It became not quite clear what the country “Gambit KS: GO” represents: the composition is international, the base is in Kiev, and the organization’s leadership is in Moscow. However, all this yielded results. The new roster was able to take first place at DreamHack Winter 2016, receiving $ 50 thousand in prize money. By the way, in May of this year, Gambit won DH Austin 2017 with a prize pool of one million dollars, half of which went to the winners.

However, in August 2017, Daniel left Gambit and returned to Na'Vi. Zeus said that his teammates were very negatively affected by the fame that fell after a series of high-profile victories. But the organization’s leadership said that Daniel did not meet professional requirements, and this was the reason for his departure from the team.
