By burying the cat’s eyes in this way, you should definitely seek veterinary help, since the main reason for purulent discharge is much deeper. And one more peculiarity of instillation is that a cotton swab should be changed often to avoid re-infection. After the washing procedure, you can still apply a 1% tetracycline eye ointment under the lower eyelid of a cat's eye with a special small spatula.
