About 25% of the officer ranks in this country are girls, however, as a rule, they are distributed rather non-uniformly. Thus, over 40% of women are among lieutenants, while a maximum of 10% are among colonels.
How is the service going?

Who is called up
Israeli law provides that any local citizen must be drafted into the army at the age of 18. At the same time, young women up to 26 years of age can be called up. The service life for girls in the Israeli army is 2 years. To join the ranks of the soldiers, the girl should not be married or have children. Moreover, she must be a citizen of Israel or have a permanent resident visa.
How much do they pay for it?
The minimum soldier's salary is usually 500 shekels (this figure equals 125 US dollars). In the case when a soldier married before the army, the amount of money allowance automatically increases to 3,000 shekels (over 750 dollars). If we talk about certain ranks, for example, a warrant officer, an over-conscript, then a reward of 5,000 shekels (over 1,250 dollars) is relied on.
But there is one caveat: a girl in the Israeli army usually gets $ 10 more than a man. This is explained as follows: women, as a rule, need much more products intended for personal hygiene.
