Pillows-cookies, in the form of letters or animal figures, gained popularity. Today we’ll talk about how to make the last of these options, namely a pillow-dog.
Dog Muzzle Pillow
The easiest way to add a touch of originality to the interior is to do something with your own hands. And what could be simpler than stitching a pillow? This is even for those girls who are far from needlework. To make a pillow with the application of a dog, you will need a sewing machine, scraps of fabric and an hour of free time.
Let's get started. The pillow-dog will be quite utilitarian, so you first need to sew a pillowcase. To do this, you need to carve two square blanks. We sew them on three sides between each other, face inward. So that you can later wash the pillowcase, we sew the lock into the un sewn side. Now let's get down to the most interesting part of the work. We need to make a dog face. To do this, you can buy felt or use scraps of fabric available at the farm. From white material we cut out eyes, from black pupils, nose and ears. They, by the way, can be made different. It remains to cut a beige oval and a red semicircle. Now with a hidden seam we sew all the details to the pillowcase. We embroider the muzzle with thick black threads. And the final touch - we sew the ears.
Knitted dog pillow
If the girl does not like to sew, but knows how to use knitting needles, then she can easily make a pillow-dog with her own hands out of yarn. To do this, you need to tie a pillowcase. Nothing complicated here. We knit two circles with an ordinary rubber band. This is the basis of our dog pillow. Two teardrop-shaped parts of a different color will be ears. From dark brown we knit a small circle - this will be the nose. We make a pug from white threads. We knit two large circles, and at the same time you can make two more small circles of the same color. It will be the eyes. Mouth and pupils can be cut out of felt, and can also be made on knitting needles. It remains to collect our pillow together. We sew the base together, turn it out and stuff it with a synthetic winterizer. With a seam "forward needle" we collect two circles of the muzzle and one circle of the nose. It should be balls. We fill them with a synthetic winterizer, not very tight so that the pillow can be used not only as a decor, but also for its intended purpose. Sew the stuffed balls to the base and add the ears, eyes and mouth.
Dog silhouette applique pillow
A needlewoman who wants to decorate her interior can act not only according to the standard scheme, but also show imagination. For example, sew a whole set of sofa cushions. Dogs in the form of applications will combine them all into a single composition. Such pillows are sewn by analogy with the first paragraph of our article. First you need to make pillowcases. Now we take felt or scraps of the printed fabric and cut out the contours of the dogs according to the pattern.
As an example, we apply one drawing, but you can draw your favorite breed. It is not necessary to take colored fabric, but dogs will look more interesting if they are not realistic, but with a hint of cartoonishness. Sew the application with a hidden seam to the pillow. Dogs will be able to decorate not only your sofa, but also the windowsill. Recently, it has become fashionable to spread a plaid on it and use it instead of a sofa.

Sew the hole and proceed to the manufacture of ears and nose.
In our version, we cut out these details from black fabric, and you can choose something more interesting, for example, a flower material. We sew the parts of the ears together and twist. They do not need to be filled. Sew to the head. Now do the nose. With a seam “forward needle”, we assemble the part into a ball, we stuff and fasten it in place. We embroider the dog’s mouth with wool threads and sew the tongue. A self-made pillow-dog will delight you and your household.
