Sevastopol Victory Park is a popular vacation spot among residents and visitors of the city. In this historical place you can not only walk along the numerous paths in the shade of trees, enjoying the atmosphere of a picturesque park and sightseeing, but also visit one of the best comfortable beaches of the hero city.
Historical facts
Victory Park (Sevastopol) arose in 1975 on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Great Victory over the German invaders. In its creation, along with the civilian population of the city, the sailors of the Black Sea Fleet participated. Even students of schools, technical schools and universities have made their contribution to the arrangement of the park.
However, during the crisis of the 90s, funding was suspended and resumed only in 2002. The city began to allocate funds for the improvement and maintenance of the park territory.
Three years later, Victory Park (Sevastopol) flourished and turned into a famous resting place for residents and visitors of the city.
In 2009, the park was reconstructed. A monument to George the Victorious was erected , benches and ballot boxes were updated, new lanterns with unbreakable shades appeared, the number of green spaces increased significantly.
Sevastopol Victory Park today
The hero city of Sevastopol is rich in places for walking and entertainment, attractions. And Victory Park managed to take its rightful place among them. Its area is 45.6 hectares.
The central monument here is a huge monument in honor of St. George the Victorious, erected to the 220th anniversary of the founding of the city under the leadership of sculptor V. Klykov.
For entertainment on site there is a Good club club, a mini-stadium for football and volleyball, a yacht club (Victory Park, Sevastopol), a rope park, a 5D cinema and the only Zurbagan water park in the city with an area of 2.08 hectares.

Beach
On this territory there is a beach. Victory Park (Sevastopol) is located on the coast between Streletskaya and Kruglyaya bays. The beach is landscaped and divided into four sections by piers, which vacationers often use for diving. But one should be careful here, as large boulders are found at the bottom.
There are changing cabins, toilets, sun loungers for rent, water rides. You can hide from the bright sun under an awning only on the left side of the beach or sit in the shade of piers.
The coastal strip is covered with medium-sized pebbles, the seabed is also rocky and abruptly goes into the depths. Large boulders are found in water.
Victory Park (Sevastopol) is an open coast and clean, albeit slightly cool, water. Through transparent sea waves you can admire the underwater world of the Black Sea without a mask and glasses for swimming.
There is a lifeguard service on the beach, there is a medical care point.
Numerous cafes and cozy bars are located along the promenade, where you can have a tasty snack at affordable prices. Nearby are open stalls where you can buy souvenirs and everything you need for a beach holiday.
Entrance to the park by car is prohibited, nearby there is a spacious secure parking.

By bus, trolley or minibus to Victory Park you can get from all areas of Sevastopol. Any transport suitable for October Revolution Avenue to the Pilots area will do.

- from the area of General Ostryakova - 14;
