The Sheraton hotel chain is world famous. The history of the company began back in 1937, when its founders opened the first hotel. Just 10 years later, the network was formed, which became the largest in the United States, and in 1949 entered the international market. Today's Sheraton is more than 400 hotels around the world, which are located both in megacities and in resorts.
On the territory of the African continent, the network is represented in four countries, one of which is Egypt, where there are seven hotels. The Sheraton Sharm hotel complex (hotel, resort, villas and spa) was opened in 1999 in Sharm El Sheikh. The road to the resort center of Naama Bay is a ten minute drive by car.
The hotel area can not be called small. The closest to the beach is Sheraton Sharm Main Building 5. The windows and balconies of all the rooms of the building "look" at the sea, and the rooms located on the ground floor have their own small lawn, which can be accessed through the
balcony door. Behind the
Sheraton Sharm Main Building 5 is the main area where the buildings called Villas and Resort are built. The latter have the status of "4 stars."
This resort complex is quite large, as the total number of hotel rooms is 300, with a significant part of them located in the Sheraton Main Building.
The hotel has a beautiful beach, where there is no extra charge for renting sun loungers and towels. Entry into the sea is carried out by a staircase located on the pontoon, which, unfortunately, is only one for such a large complex that creates certain difficulties for entering and leaving the water. On the beach there is a bar, volleyball court, sports equipment for organizing outdoor activities on the beach.
The largest restaurant in the complex is located in Sheraton Sharm Main Building 5. It provides meals paid for when booking rooms. When buying a tour that includes accommodation in this hotel, you can choose any
type of food (minimum "breakfast"). When booking, you can order
"full board" or "all inclusive", including its version of "De Lux". In addition, on the territory you can find a lot of bars (some of them are on the beach).
The complex has several pools, one of which is indoor. You can relax in the jacuzzi, do a massage course and get other services aimed at restoring strength, improving health and maintaining beauty, in the largest thalassotherapy center of the region, also located in Sheraton Sharm Main Building 5.
A standard set of services for children is represented by children's pools, animation, a playground and chairs for babies in the restaurant. A distinctive feature of the hotel is the ability to order food for the child on the children's menu, but this service is paid extra.
Quite a lot of Russians choose Sheraton Sharm Main Building 5, reviews of which are quite controversial. Someone is happy with everything, but some tourists, disappointing, expecting a higher level of service corresponding to the class of the well-known network. Most of the latter were not satisfied with the proposed level of service and poor quality of food.
Based on the hotel information received from the reviews, we can conclude that its level does not quite correspond to the Sheraton class, but at the same time it is very good for Egypt.
