From tulle we cut a strip and sew it to the hem. But the headgear will have to be made. To do this, we must sew a hat, like the Sultan. We make a thin strip that will fit to the head green, and the headdress itself will be dark cherry. From the scraps of fabric we build a flower. But we do it in an unusual way. The bud will be green, and the leaves should be dark red. We pin such a decoration to the hat, and you can also put the flower on your hand or pin it to your belt. Voluminous suit
Such an outfit will do quite troublesome, but the game is worth the candle. The beetroot costume will be made from papier-mâché, and then fitted with fabric.
First, prepare the material. Finely chop a newspaper, napkins or any other unnecessary paper. Fill these pieces with water and add flour and some stationery glue. As a result, we should get a rather viscous gruel resembling a thick oatmeal in consistency. It is from her that we will begin to make a costume. We will produce it in parts, since it will be impossible to give a semicircular shape to wet paper.
We start with flat parts, make the sides, back and stomach. Let the paper dry. The second approach we connect spare parts. To get a bend, you need to put the side parts on the rib, under the central part put the books, previously covered with cellophane. Now you can glue parts. When the mold dries, once again for strength we glue it with paper. You can also make beet leaves from papier-mâché that will adorn the baby’s head. After our design work is completed, we have two options for completing it. You can simply dye papier-mâché with gouache or cover the blank with fabric and attach it to the frame with a stapler.
Costume for the matinee
Only mom or grandmother who are good friends with the sewing machine can sew such an outfit. The beet costume for the girl will consist of a dress, hat and bag. Let's start sewing with a skirt. It will be made in the shape of a tulip, but with one unusual detail. The front and back of the skirt will need to sew a triangular ponytail. We sew a bodice of a dress with sleeves lanterns. A joint with a skirt can not be veiled, but rather, highlight it by inserting an elastic band.
It remains to make leaves. From green velvet material we cut 6 leaves. We try to draw them at least approximately similar to those possessed by beets. Sew the leaves together. We will sew it from cherry fabric by sectors. First, draw a pattern. It should look like a heart, with only a small indentation on top. Divide the pattern vertically into 4 parts. It is advisable to sew a suit from felt, but if you don’t have anything like that, you can replace it with any other dense fabric, for example, drape. We sew parts together. It turns out a volumetric figure of beets with holes above and below.
