A few years ago, a grandiose zoo opened in this city, in which at that time more than 70 animals of the savannah, marine inhabitants and birds settled. In May of this year, one more zoo in Ufa began operating in one of the shopping centers. This time it’s very unusual, “touching”. Each visitor to this menagerie has the opportunity to pet any animal he likes and even take him, if not afraid, in his arms.
A new institution for forest and not only residents is located on an area of 250 square meters of the second floor of the Bashkortostan shopping center. Citizens and city visitors who have visited this zoo in Ufa can contemplate pheasants, hedgehogs, decorative chickens, peacocks, piglets, ostriches, kids and lambs, and feed them. On the floor there is a real park with a small pond where turtles and Japanese ornamental carp live . The largest bird, the ostrich emu, is a very curious creature.
As the director of this animal dwelling noted, all the inhabitants of the park are constantly selected special food and appropriate care, they are regularly checked by veterinarians. Several experts are constantly standing next to them, observing both the children and the behavior of their pets. They make sure that children do not harm animals, either accidentally or purposefully. Caring for the zoo’s pets, the children receive real therapy, and also learn to be caring for animals.
"Touching", as locals and visitors called it, the zoo in Ufa, the opening year of 2013, has already established itself as one of the most visited places in the city and claims to be an honorable place in the tourism industry of the republic.
This zoo in Ufa is not the first sign, it is already the ninth in Russia. Prior to this, such menageries were equipped and opened in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Krasnoyarsk.
In the early days, as soon as the institution began to work, visitors did not hide their pleasure and joy from the opportunity to touch the inhabitants of the menagerie. It so happened that adults more than children touched the animals and took them in their arms. With the permission of the staff, they even fed them pre-packaged and cooked food. Free feeding is prohibited, since the nutrition of each species of local inhabitants is strictly balanced and dosed. They will grow winged residents, code, they will be taken to the poultry farm, and new cubs will be brought in to replace them. Decorative chickens are not affected.
The administration advertises in various ways the zoo in Ufa, publishes photos of its inhabitants on its website and in other mass media, attracting new visitors in this way, including from other cities.
The cost of tickets to visit the zoo in Ufa is very affordable (150 rubles). For birthday parties - admission is free upon presentation of a document. Children under three years old are also free. Food for birds and animals is also very inexpensive. You can feed them from 10 hours to 12 and from 18 to 21. The park operates daily, seven days a week, from 10:00 to 21:00.
