H7 bulbs - a bright solution for any car

According to statistics, most accidents (about 80%) occur in conditions of insufficient visibility (fog, rain, snowfall), of which about 60% occur in the dark. And the reason for this is insufficient visual information that does not allow drivers to make the right and timely decision. That is why the headlights are not the last place in ensuring road safety.

h7 bulbs
One of the most common devices providing a bright and at the same time driving light of the car that meets all standards is H7 bulbs. As a rule, they are used in headlamps with separate reflectors for dipped and main beam. Despite the fact that they have only one filament, they are able to create a luminous flux of more than 1,500 lumens (lm). Moreover, they have a power of 55 W and can be used as a source of head lighting in almost any vehicle, since this does not contradict the Russian Legislation.

As for the low beam lamps with the H7 socket, they have become the most modern and most common standard. H7 dipped-beam lamps can have both standard and enhanced light output. Very often they are inserted into the fog lights, especially since the process of their installation is practically the same as installing H4 lamps and takes literally a few minutes.

H7 bulbs, originally produced as halogen, i.e. filled with iodine or bromine vapors continue to be popular to this day. Along with them, xenon arc lamps are also widely used. A worthy alternative to traditional lighting sources are LED lamps. More and more motorists prefer these environmentally friendly and at the same time reliable products.

Advantages of H 7 LED Bulbs

H7 LED bulbs are not inferior in terms of illumination to traditional lamps, and at the same time surpass them in terms of service life. Another reason why motorists prefer LED lamps is their low power consumption, which sometimes plays an important role, especially if the battery is not new. A low heat release allows them to be used even in plastic headlights.

Major automotive lamp manufacturers

There is a constant competition among manufacturers of lighting sources. Among the many world leaders, the following major manufacturers can be distinguished:

  • Osram. Lamps of this German manufacturer, having standard power, are capable of producing very bright light. For example, the Osram Night Breaker Plus H7 lamp is able to provide a light cone 35 m longer than its counterparts, giving out 90% more light.
  • Bosch This German company, existing for more than a century, is a recognized leader in the production of a wide range of products, including lamps. Bosch products are traditionally distinguished by high quality, long service life and low price.

  • Philips H7 car bulbs of this Dutch manufacturer are also distinguished by their reliability and have the highest characteristics.
  • Koito. The assortment of lamps of this Japanese manufacturer is quite wide. Koito lamps last quite a long time, and therefore have also become unusually popular among Russian motorists.

As for the cost, in this category of goods the price range is quite large. The cheapest H7 bulbs can be purchased for 150 rubles, and the most expensive ones cost more than one and a half thousand, it all depends on the type and manufacturer.
