Currently, such a station is not yet in the current Moscow Metro scheme. If everything goes according to the approved construction schedule, the Seligerskaya metro station will receive its first passengers at the end of 2014. For many residents of the northern part of the capital, this event will be of paramount importance. The opening of the Seligerskaya metro station will fundamentally upgrade the entire transport infrastructure of the Northern Administrative District. The road to the center of Moscow will take no more than half an hour. And this will make life in the residential neighborhoods adjacent to the metro much more comfortable.
Seligerskaya metro station: how it will look
Lublin-Dmitrovskaya line is indicated on the metro scheme in light green. The project of its radius going north has been amended several times. Seligerskaya metro station was to become the final point of the launch site. It was necessary to refuse the initial intention to lay a section of the line in an open way, for this it would be necessary to block the Dmitrov highway for a while. I had to choose a more expensive construction option using the tunneling method. But the fact that construction is not carried out in an open way does not allow it to be attributed to deep-laying lines. According to expert estimates, such an engineering solution allows you to save significant material resources and complete the construction on time.
Accordingly, the project of the Seligerskaya metro station under construction was also processed. In the final approved version, it will be a columned three-span shallow station. The fact that no one is going to save on the design and decorative decoration of the station’s interiors cannot but rejoice. It is still impossible to judge how much it will be possible to implement the plan, but in a virtual form the station looks quite worthy. Exits from it will allow you to get to Dmitrovskoe and Korovinskoye Highways, Pyalovskaya Street and Tumanyan Square. This place cannot be called a backwater today, but with the advent of a new metro line here it will become even more attractive for business development. Proximity to the metro significantly increases the capitalization of both residential and non-residential real estate, sharply activates all kinds of commercial activities.
What will happen next
The terminal station of the launch site in the Dmitrov direction will be the Seligerskaya metro station. The metro scheme in the past did not provide for its development beyond the Ring Road. But this situation has long been outdated. Back in November 2011, a strategic decision was made that Seligerskaya was not forever destined to be the end station. The metro line will continue to the Moscow Ring Road, and then further in the direction of the region.
Currently, work is already underway on the construction of two stations after Seligerskaya, they will be called Square of the 800th Anniversary of Moscow and Dmitrovskoye Shosse. A further extension of the line is under development.
