An interesting thing is a ribbon rose. Do it yourself with your own hands

In the pre-wedding bustle, much attention is paid to decorative details - decorating the hall, special pillows for rings, flower baskets and champagne glasses. The main elements of the wedding decor are symbols of love and matrimony: pigeons, white lace, ribbons and roses. Previously, special decorators were hired to make all such trifles, but in recent years the bride and her friends began to do this on their own. It is for such cases that our master class on how to make roses from a satin ribbon is designed. Flowers can serve both for the decoration of wedding glasses, pillows for rings, and become elements of outfits of bridesmaids. There are many options for their application, and to make such elements simpler than what you and we will do now.

do-it-yourself ribbon rose
So, do-it-yourself ribbon rose. What does it take to make it? Let's take two satin ribbons - pink and green. Their width depends on what size bud you want to get in the end. The wider the ribbon, the larger the rose. In addition, we will need a thread matching the bud, a needle, a piece of felt and a glue gun. Now let's get down to business.

Take the ribbon from which our bud will be made. Its average length is 75 centimeters - this is enough for an average rose. The edges of the tape should be carefully burned with a lighter so that they do not fray. We take one end of the ribbon and bend it in such a way that a satin triangle is formed on the inside. Now we begin to twist the lower corner of the triangle several times - this will be the middle of the bud. Sew from below to fix. Now our do-it- yourself ribbon rose will begin to “grow” quietly with petals. To do this, unscrew the tape on the wrong side diagonally parallel to the first bend. Fold along the resulting line in half and stitch along the edge with a seam “forward needle”. Again we bend the tape from the front to the wrong side so that the edges go parallel to each other. Then we fold along the resulting diagonal and flash it on. Thus we make bends to the end of the tape and fix the thread. In the end it will turn out ... no, no, not a rose from a ribbon with your own hands! So far, only a spiral of satin triangles.

Thanks to the seam “forward needle”, you can pick it up a little, evenly distributing the folds. Now the triangles have acquired the roundness we need, and the spiral itself began to wrap around the beginning of the ribbon - our middle of the bud. Now we begin to twist it around the core, fixing each turn with a glue gun or thread. Remember, the tighter you twist, the more tight the bud will be.

Now, our do-it-yourself ribbon rose should “acquire” leaflets. To do this, take a green satin ribbon twice as long as the planned leaf. We bend both long ends to the middle of the wrong side and fold in half along the resulting seam. In the middle of the formed two-sided satin ribbon, we make an inflection, and then we bring both its ends together and slightly twist clockwise. We fix the resulting sheet with a thread or a glue gun. Now we cut out a circle of felt the size of the inside of the rose from felt, we put leaflets on it, the flower itself and glue them to each other.

Our beauty is ready. Such roses made of satin ribbons will become a wonderful decoration for hair elastics, belt buckles, they can decorate the legs of wedding glasses. If you can do the jewelry work and make them small, then you can glue flowers on wedding invitations or cards.
