Symbol of autumn
Undoubtedly, pumpkin is one of the main symbols of autumn and stands on a par with maple leaves and frequent rains. She is also loved by needlewomen who just don’t do with this farm product: candle holders, baskets, caskets and coasters, and much more.
Even the cooks worship the pumpkin. After all, it is from it that one of the most famous dishes of the autumn is obtained - pumpkin soup with cinnamon and coriander.
But it is frustrating that these vegetables are not stored for a very long time, they quickly lose the sunny colors of autumn, they begin to dry out, grow moldy and smell unpleasant. What will we cut from?
Before pumpkin from felt with our own hands will please our eyes, we need to prepare all the necessary materials. They can easily be found in any sewing or creative store.
- Felt. The main component of our pumpkin, and we chose it for good reason. This material largely wins over expensive suede fabrics not only for its price and quality, but also for the brightness of its palette and unusual texture. After all, the truth is, with the word “felt” there are only bright and juicy associations of colors. In addition, prices do not really bite, but rather, lure the buyer.
- Filler. In this case, you can choose both synthetic winterizer and synthetic winterizer and holofiber. In addition, if you are a supporter of natural materials, then you can use hay or sawdust to add a unique touch of freshness to your toy.
- Sewing supplies. It is very cool that a felt pumpkin is easily created without the participation of large equipment, that is, a sewing machine. Thanks to the thin and pliable material, manufacturing can be handled manually with a needle and thread in the color of the fabric.

- Now we form a handle from green felt, we sew everything around the perimeter, also filling it tightly.
- To make the pumpkin from felt look more impressive, in the intervals between the "slices" we will stretch the yarn of orange or red color. Thus, the edges will be sharper.
- In addition, if desired, you can embroider the muzzle or eyes of our toy to add cartoonishness to it.
- Now you can attach the stalk: we will use a drop of hot glue and, carefully applying it to the pumpkin, we will press two parts together. It is worth holding the entire structure for several minutes to wait for it to dry completely.
