This element appeared in the 19th century in tsarist Russia. Then it was wide strips of fabric of a certain color, to which orders were attached. For example, the order of St. A. the First-Called corresponded to a blue ribbon, St. A. Nevsky - red, St. Vladimir - red with two black stripes, St. Anna - red with two yellow stripes, which symbolized the "sincerity of a burning soul." They were worn around the neck or worn over the shoulder, behind fastened with clasps of gold or silver.
