More than thirty hotels are located in the resort city of Dagomys (Sochi). Of these, only a few who want to visit again. Hotel "South" (Dagomys) is one of the most visited. Each room is made in bright colors and equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay and good rest. Single and double beds have orthopedic mattresses and hypoallergenic pillows. A set of furniture is standard: bedside tables, wardrobe. Each room has a flat-screen TV, fridge and electric kettle. There is also a tea set.
You can adjust the temperature in the room using an air conditioner. The bathroom is made in the same color scheme as the whole room. Some rooms have a shower instead of a full bath.
Hotel prices
Prices for rooms here start at 1,500 rubles. For this money you will be accommodated in a budget category room with one double or two single beds. The cost of living in a double room with one or two beds of a standard category starts from 2500 rubles. The price of a family room starts at 4,500 rubles. The hotel also has a special housing option - a studio. This is a room with a separate entrance, and the price for it starts at 3500 rubles.
At the Yuzhny Hotel you can relax even in infants. Children under two years old are not charged. In the case of additional placement of an older child or adults on extra beds, you need to pay about 500 rubles per night.

During the relatively short time that the hotel has been operating, Yuzhny managed to receive a lot of guests. Here is what they found positive during their stay at the hotel:

- The balcony offers wonderful views of the mountains and the sea.
- The hotel has a very convenient location. Besides the fact that the sea and the beach are within walking distance, there is a railway station, a bus stop and a lot of entertainment (cafes, restaurants, clubs, attractions and so on).

- Work maids at height. Cleaning is frequent and of high quality.
- Sugar and tea bags are put during each cleaning.
- The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly, always ready to help and suggest where what is located.
- In the shower there is always a good pressure of hot water.
- Always fresh and tasty breakfasts.
- Fast wifi speed that catches all over the hotel.
- After eviction, you can leave your baggage absolutely free. This is very convenient if there is still a lot of time before departure.

- Pleased with laundry service. Things brought back very quickly, clean and ironed.
- The balconies are large and the facades are decorated with flowers.
- The front desk is open around the clock and staff are available to help at any time.
- The hotel is designed specifically for those who do not smoke. Therefore, there are no places for smoking, and there is no unpleasant smell of smoke.
Separate guests mention the average cost of living at the Yuzhny Hotel. Naturally, in Dagomys you can find hotels and a little cheaper, but the level of services provided will be much lower than here.
Unpleasant moments
Despite the many positive reviews and a high level of service, the Yuzhny Hotel, according to tourists, still has work to do. In particular, people note the following points, of which, in fairness, not everything relates to the hotel itself:
- Lack of elevator. It is not convenient for everyone living above the second floor to climb stairs. There are five floors in the hotel.
- Not everyone is lucky with accommodation, so there are rooms with a view not of the mountains, but of the railway station.
- Some rooms have noise from passing trains.
- Bed linen is changed once a week. I would like more often.
- The rooms are poorly soundproofed.
- The hotel does not have its own generator, so there may be problems with electricity, which is sometimes turned off in the village.
- The rooms have tiled floors and slippers are not provided by the hotel. Therefore it can be cold.
- There is no dining room or cafe on site. To have lunch and dinner, you need to buy something yourself or go to a restaurant nearby.
- The rooms do not have blackout curtains.
- There is no hairdryer in the bathroom.
- The breakfast menu lacks variety and fresh fruit.
- You can relax at the hotel with children, but there is no service for calling a nanny or a children's room. There is also no playground on site.
Despite such seemingly significant comments and the fact that the hotel has only two stars, many tourists come to Yuzhny more than once. And this suggests that resting here is very good.
