Wooden Russia ... From time immemorial, houses, huts, and whole villages of wood were built. This was done for human life, so that it was where the Russian person lay his head, and wintered in the warmth. And live yourself, and attach the cattle. And the stone was in abundance, and there was enough clay, but everything was built of wood, since wood is a warm, lively material, infinitely grateful, cool in the hut in summer, warm in winter. So entire wooden cities, villages and villages appeared on the expanses of Russians. And where people live, churches are built there, large and small, cathedrals with chapels, parishes and presence.
Life requires beauty. A peasant's wooden house, although well built, but looks simple and unpretentious.
