We select consumables

To make one daffodil, we need several types of beads, including:

  • round yellow No. 11 (5 g);
  • white No. 11 (5 g);
  • green No. 11 (5 g).

If you wish, you can use a larger bugle, for example, No. 9 or No. 8. In this case, your flower will turn out to be larger. If you want to make a bouquet of daffodils - calculate the required amount of beads yourself. We recommend purchasing quality Czech or Japanese bugles for making crafts. Cheap Chinese material can significantly degrade the appearance of the product (beads come in different sizes and vary in shape). Also for work, you will need copper wire (0.3 mm in diameter) and green threads for decorating the stem.

Getting to the production of crafts "Narcissus from beads"

daffodils bead weaving pattern

We suggest that you start by creating a cup-shaped upper petal. We will weave it from yellow bugles . Cut a piece of wire 30 cm long. We collect 15 beads on it, we shift them to the middle. We twist the wire so that at the top of the bend there is one bead, and the rest are arranged in two parallel segments, 7 pieces each. Next, twist the two ends of the wire, making at least five turns for a more reliable fixation. As a result, you get an elongated loop. Now we take one more piece of wire and let one of its ends through 7 beads located on the right side of the first loop. Align the ends and pick up 8 beads. We place one of them in the center on top, and the remaining seven on the right, in a column. We twist the wires and get a second loop, which has one common segment with the first part. By analogy, we perform eight more such loops. Pass the eleventh wire through the previous seven beads, string one bead. Next, we pass its second end through the beads located on the left side of loop No. 1. As a result, you get a round core of daffodil with needle petals. We twist the ends of all the wires, subsequently they will form the stem of our flower.

Getting started making the lower diamond-shaped petals

We continue to weave the daffodil from beads using the parallel lowering technique . We cut the wire 65 cm long. We string 4 white beads on it, form the first row. Next, we work according to the following scheme: 5-8-10-12-12-12-12-10-8-6-5-3-2 (the number indicates the number of pieces of bugles). You get the first diamond-shaped petal. One daffodil bead will consist of six similar elements. After they are woven, you can begin to manufacture a long narrow sheet.

We create bright spring flowers with our own hands - daffodils from beads. Weaving pattern

The daffodil leaf will consist of two halves. We will execute them using the technique of parallel weaving that is already familiar to us. First, we’ll make the first detail: take green shades of beads and a 90 cm length of wire. In this case, we will be guided by the following scheme: 1-1-2-2-3 * 33-2. As a result, you should get a long and narrow blank. Now we perform the second half of the sheet according to this scheme: 1-2-2-2-3-3 * 33-2. Before stringing each row of beads, we attach the working wire to the first half of the sheet, on the side, between the rows. It turns out a long and narrow sheet.

Assembly of product parts

After making all the necessary elements, we proceed to the assembly of the flower. We take the yellow core and fasten three white petals from below, using additional pieces of wire. We try to place the petals around the circle evenly. We fasten three more blanks under the first row, trying not to allow large gaps. We again fix the structure with additional wire. Now we take the green threads and wrap them with the stem of the flower, starting work from the lower petals. At the very bottom we attach the sheet and complete the decoration of the stem with thread. That's all - our bright and beautiful daffodil from beads is ready! On the same principle, weave a few more flowers and arrange them into a magnificent bouquet. Now you know how to make daffodils from beads. The master class, we hope, helped you understand the technique of this original craft. I wish you creative success!
