Kama Polyany is an urban-type settlement located in the Nizhnekamsk district in the Republic of Tatarstan. The population is a little over fifteen thousand people. The village of Kamskiye Polyany is located on the left bank of the Kama River, 35 kilometers southwest of the regional center.
History
There is no exact information about when people settled here. According to some reports, the fugitive peasants founded the settlement back in the time of Ivan the Terrible. However, the official date is the eighteenth century, at least this is the first documented mention of the Kama Glades, then it was a village. The village in its present form was built in 1981 due to the start of construction of the Tatar NPP here . It was discontinued in 1990 by decision of the Supreme Council of the Republic.
How to get there
The village of Kamskie Polyany (the map given in the article demonstrates this) is located in the Republic of Tatarstan, in the Nizhnekamsk district. You can get here by car from the regional center of Nizhnekamsk (there is a railway station), the distance along the highway is 47 kilometers, the road to this settlement runs through Sheremetyevka. There is another way - from Kazan, the distance along the highway will be 193 kilometers, along the route you will bypass the following settlements: Sorochye Gory, Wet Kurnali, Alekseevskoye, Chistopol, Starosheshminsk.
Description of the village
Kama Glades are located in the eastern part of the East European Plain. They occupy a middle plateau between the hills of the republic. The nearest neighbor cities are Nizhnekamsk (45 km), Zainsk (50 km), Chistopol (50 km), Naberezhnye Chelny (90 km). On January 1, 2006, in accordance with federal law, the village of Kamskiye Polyany acquired the status of a municipality. From this moment, a new stage began in the history of this locality. Within the administrative border there are more than 23 square kilometers of land divided into three massifs: upper, lower platforms and residential area.
Infrastructure
Kamskiy Polyany has two schools, a gymnasium, four educational preschool institutions, a children's music, youth and youth sports, Sunday school, a children's and youth sports school in figure skating and ice hockey, a branch of the Nizhnekamsk welding and assembly college, a station for youth and children's tourism " Turgai ", as well as the Center for Children's Creativity" Rainbow ".
