Scrapbooking is the art of preserving warm and vivid memories in the form of postcards, photo albums and photographs, as well as other memorable little things. The name of this needlework comes from the English words scrap - clipping, book - a book that can be translated as “clipping book”. Masters use special techniques in their work: aging pages (distressing), creating stamps (stamping) and convex elements (embossing). The only drawback of this hobby is the high cost of consumables. But many of them can be done with your own hands. Flowers for scrapbooking - one of the most popular decorative elements, which are often decorated with frames and gift wrapping.
To create one bud, you will need the following materials:
- dried baby wet wipe;
- paints;
- a small plastic cover;

Toning and singeing petals
We breed the paint of the desired color in the plastic cover, try the tone on the unnecessary part of the napkin and, if everything suits us, we begin painting the blanks by dipping them in liquid. We squeeze and lay out the petals to dry - a wet towel will not hold its shape. You can speed up the drying with a hairdryer. Now we take a candle - it will help to make the edges of the flowers rounded, give them a convex shape. We carry each petal over the candle, trying not to scorch the edges.
At the next stage, we fasten the layers together, superimposing them on top of each other with an offset to achieve a natural look. Glue and wait for complete drying. From felt and non-woven fabric, you can also make flowers for scrapbooking with your own hands. Paper patterns are used the same. The only difference: when using non-woven, you need to make the bottom layer of opaque material.
How to form the middle of a flower
For one bud, about 20 stamens are needed - the more there are, the more magnificent the middle of the flower will turn out. Cut about 3 cm from the wire and pull 10 double stamens in the middle of it. Now we fold the resulting bouquet in half to form the core. All stamens should not be on the same level. Carefully make a cruciform cut in the center of the assembled parts with scissors, apply glue on both sides. We stretch the wire through the middle, cut off the excess. Holding the end, straighten the middle. On the back of the flower we distribute in a circle the tips of the stamens so that they do not interfere with the work.
Making the back
Making flowers for scrapbooking with your own hands is desirable with a green base - so they will look complete. You can make it in the same way as the petals - cutting out a star-shaped part from a napkin and toning it with light green paint. The edges should not be perfectly even. Another option: use a floral ribbon for this . Glue the resulting leaves to the base. You can improve the flower by making it tougher - then it will be more convenient to use in work. To do this, breed a little glue, take a wide brush, coat the petals with this solution and leave to dry. The finished flower can be additionally tinted with paint or glitter.
DIY paper roses
Do-it-yourself flowers for scrapbooking are also made of paper. They can be created in any color and size. To work, you will need special blanks for the petals: we cut five-petal flowers from watercolor paper, and on the top of each petal we make small notches. For one product you will need 4 blanks.

- watercolor paints for tinting paper;
- ordinary brush;
- a bowl of water;
- napkin;
- a rag to lay out flower blanks;
- embossing tools;
- nail scissors;
- glue gun or Moment Crystal glue;
- foam mouse pad.

Let's start creating flowers:
- On the blanks we make small slots towards the center of the flower, between the petals.
- Soak the blanks briefly and moisten the cloth.
- When the petals are slightly saturated with water, take them out and lay them on a cloth.
- We mix paints to the desired shade and apply them to the workpiece. You can make transitions or color only the edges of the flowers. We are waiting for the workpieces to dry a little.
- Take a rug and embossing tools. With a tool with a small tip on the outside, we begin to form the edges of the petals, bending them inward.
- We turn the workpiece over, we make a tool with a thick tip from the center to the outer edge of the dent on each petal to slightly wrap it inward. You can use a pencil with a smooth cap for this.
- Turn the part over and make a recess in the middle using the same tool. The first workpiece is ready. Repeat the procedure on the remaining petals. Leave to dry completely. One more step, and the flowers for scrapbooking, made by yourself, will be ready.
Paper rose assembly
We form the middle of the rose from a napkin, having rolled up a small ball and fixing it with glue. Then we turn the first workpiece with the unpainted side up and glue the core in the center. Fold the bud: apply glue and bend the petals in pairs, wrapping the middle. Glue the next blank to the bud and arrange the petals so that they come on each other. On the next layer, the petals are not completely closed, pulling them to the sides, we form a cone from the bottom of the cone so that it easily fits into the recess of the last workpiece. Combine with the bud so that the petals are staggered. The rosette is ready.
