The Miussky estuary is the flooded, one-arm estuary of the Mius River, which carries its waters to the Sea of Azov. They are connected by a fringe, a little more than 400 m wide. Depending on the season, the length of the estuary ranges from 33 to 40 meters. Almost throughout the entire width of the Miussky Estuary is two kilometers. There are several bottlenecks, in them the width of the reservoir does not exceed 200 meters. There are also extensions exceeding three kilometers. The depth of the Miussky Estuary is 3-5 meters.
Water has a high concentration of minerals. The dust content is exceeded by 1.5 times, and sulfates - by 4.
Rest zone
Geographically, the Miussky Estuary is located in the Rostov Region, in the Neklinovsky District. The climate and unique nature have developed into an amazing vacation spot, and the water is recognized as healing. That is why there are recreation centers. The category "Suite" is a detached cottage with two two-room rooms. That is, each has a bedroom and a living room with upholstered furniture (which can be an extra bed) and a kitchen area. It has a comfortable dining table with chairs and household appliances.
In the "Rainbow" (Miussky estuary), relaxation is thoroughly thought out. Adults enjoy spending time in a Russian bathhouse on wood, on billiards, or on basketball, volleyball and football courts. A large play area with horizontal bars, swings and other attractions is organized for children.
The base has its own equipped beach and a tour desk. Meals are not included in the price. But there is a cafe on the territory of the base, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, both on order and separately. The menu is varied, the products are always fresh, local production. The base is open in the summer and in the offseason.
The recreation center "Quiet Harbor"
The bases on the Miussky estuary have a developed infrastructure. Quiet Harbor is no exception. It is located just 20 km from Taganrog and is considered a holiday destination.
Guests are accommodated in cottages. In each - three rooms (single, double and triple), a shared kitchen and a bathroom. The rooms are equipped with beds, wardrobes, bedside tables and satellite TV. The kitchen is equipped with a large refrigerator, gas stove, tables for eating and cooking, chairs, benches and the necessary sets of dishes.
For lovers of lazy relaxation, a beautiful beach is equipped; for fans of an active weekend, several venues for playing volleyball, soccer and basketball are organized.

Another amazing holiday destination on the estuary. Picturesque nature, cozy atmosphere, hospitable staff, beautiful beach and warm water. What else is needed for a good rest? Base "Rodnik (Miussky estuary) welcomes guests year-round and with pleasure organizes both family vacations and any outdoor event, including corporate parties.
The number of rooms is represented by various classes of comfort. But each one necessarily has comfortable furniture, a bathroom, a TV with satellite antenna and a kettle. There are separate log cabins of increased comfort on the territory of the base. They are designed for four people.
There is a cafe in Rodnik that provides three meals a day, several covered gazebos with equipped barbecue areas, billiard rooms and secure parking.
Fans of outdoor activities play soccer or volleyball at special venues.

The recreation center "Chestnut"
It is located in the area of Sedykh farm and can simultaneously accommodate up to 80 guests. The rooms are designed for two, four and five people. Cases are wooden and brick. The recreation center "Kashtan" (Miussky estuary) has a fairly developed infrastructure. There are beautifully organized sports fields, indoor recreation areas with barbecue facilities and a children's town.
The beach is private, clean. Equipped with showers. At the rental point you can rent catamarans and boats (rowing or motor).
Sad story
Fishing on the Miuss estuary is prohibited. Although many fishermen refer to Article 8 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation, which allows fishing on the coastal strip of any reservoir in our country.
But despite this, there are a number of prohibitions that can be imposed both by federal legislation and regional. In the rules of fisheries for the Azov-Black Sea fisheries basin, such a ban is spelled out. They indicate that in the Miussky estuary from Nikolaevsky bridge to the Taganrog-Mariupol motorway, any catch of biological resources is prohibited. Violation of these standards entails administrative punishment in the form of a fine and seizure of fishing gear.
It is worth noting that the fishing ban has been in force in these places since October 1983. In 1989, the ban on catching bioresources in the Miussky estuary was prolonged in the updated Rules of amateur and sport fishing. In 2007, the new Fishing Rules in force on the territory of the Azov-Black Sea basin, the ban on catching fish in the estuary was also not lifted.
The reason, according to official documents, is as follows. In the middle of the last century, some research was carried out. Due to this, ecologists found out that the estuary is not exposed to the ebb and flow, and probably, as a result, it is significantly shallow. Therefore, a dam project was developed that blocked the reservoir. The upper part of the estuary began to be used by fisheries, which were engaged in the reproduction of various species of fish in the Sea of Azov (for the most part carp). Today, the successor of this economy is ZAO Miussky Liman, which has legal authorization documents for the site and its activities.
House on the Miussky estuary
The coast of the reservoir is considered an ecologically clean resort area. Both natural and climatic conditions are really good. Therefore, anyone can buy a house here. There are many options. There are private offers of houses located on the so-called first line. This is an individual access to the water, the ability to build a pier, and other pluses.
And there are cottage villages. For example, Virginia Priazovye. They are located 7-10 km from Taganrog, have developed infrastructure and mandatory security. A feature of such villages is the pier, a private landscaped beach with water entertainment areas.
