History of the airline

Emelyanovo Airport began its existence in 1970, when the authorities decided to start the construction of an air hub near Krasnoyarsk. After 10 years (in 1980), the terminal received its first passengers. He received international status in 1993.

In 2005, a second terminal was opened at the airport to serve passengers traveling along international routes. A year later, the restoration of the runway was completed: it was covered with asphalt concrete with a modern reinforcing polymer mesh.

In 2008, the arrival terminal (the third in a row) was put into operation, with a throughput capacity of 750 passengers per hour. In the same year, the Emelyanovo airfield was equipped with a unique high-intensity fire system developed by Siemens, and the runway was covered with a light carpet.

In 2014, the airport received ISO 9001: 2008 certificate for quality of service.

Until the beginning of summer 2015, the airport was owned by local authorities. Since June of this year, the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Company, owned by Oleg Deripaska, bought the 51% stake in the airline.
