Many of our compatriots are accustomed to rest in Kemer, Marmaris, Tekirova, everyone knows there, everything is familiar there. But in Turkey there are other interesting places, and one of them is Mahmutlar. Although it is considered a city of ancient ruins, it is a completely modern and beautiful resort with developed infrastructure. The choice of hotels here is quite wide - from chic five-star giants to modest apartments. Galaxy Beach Hotel 4 * occupies approximately the average position. It has a fairly wide range of services, but at the same time quite reasonable prices that allow tourists of all categories to enjoy their holidays in Turkey.
Location
The town of Mahmutlar administratively belongs to Alanya and is only 8 km away from its center. This is a pretty beautiful place, on the one hand surrounded by the majestic Taurus Mountains, on the other hand washed by the Mediterranean Sea. The neighbors of Mahmutlar are the villages of Kargicak and Kestel, which can be reached by public minibuses. Galaxy Beach Hotel is located in the city, but on the outskirts of it is on the opposite side of Alanya. The center of Mahmutlar is about 2 km from here, or 20 minutes on foot along the well-maintained city streets. Near the hotel there is an excellent asphalt road connecting this village with Alanya, Antalya and running further along the Mediterranean coast. The airport closest to the hotel is only 37 km from Alanya, but direct flights from Russia go there only during the peak season, and even then there are only a couple of them. You can get to this air harbor only with a change in Istanbul. The bulk of tourists arrive at Antalya Airport, from which the hotel is about 3.5 hours away, or 135 km.
Territory
Galaxy Beach Hotel 4 * is considered urban, so its territory is not very large and is only 3,750 square meters. In this space, the hotel’s high-rise buildings, a parking lot, a pool with a sun terrace, a bar, and a dart board are well located. Due to the constraint of a chic garden with evergreen vegetation is not here, but still the hotel territory is decorated with small flower beds, beautifully trimmed shrubs and a few orange trees.
Infrastructure
Galaxy Beach Hotel, justifying its 4 stars, has a pretty good infrastructure. In one of the buildings in the beautifully decorated lobby is the reception, which serves tourists around the clock. The staff understands Russian, and many employees speak Russian well. At the reception you can call a taxi, hand over things for washing, pay for the Internet, buy a sightseeing tour, order a room service. They do not change the currency here, they do not accept bank cards, although it is stated on the hotel’s website that it is possible to pay with plastic.
In the lobby it is easy to choose a corner to relax from the heat, as there are comfortable chairs, tables, air conditioning. Here, in the lobby, there are several shops with Turkish goods, a billiard room, a designated place for playing table tennis.
For business travelers, the hotel offers a conference room with all the necessary equipment, designed for 80 participants.
Rooms
Galaxy Beach Hotel 4 * in its budget fund includes two buildings of 5 floors, in which tourists are accommodated. The main building has 76 fairly spacious rooms. There are forty units in the second building. The views from the windows open either to the sea, or to city buildings and streets. Ground floor windows overlook the hotel. The design of the rooms is simple, no frills. The main gamut of colors - blue, gray and white. Each room has a spacious balcony, which is a big plus.

Cleaning and linen, towels at the hotel are scheduled, bottled water is not provided, but the minibar has a large selection of drinks (beer, sprite, Coca-Cola, chips and nuts), however, you have to pay for them. Every day an inventory of the contents of the minibar is made and an invoice is made for what has been drunk and eaten.
Nutrition
Galaxy Beach Hotel 4 * (Turkey) offers all-inclusive tours, which includes free breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner on a self-service basis. Meals are organized in a restaurant located on the top floor of one of the buildings. The windows offer fabulous views of the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains surrounding the village, which always cheers up and creates a pleasant atmosphere during meals. Regarding the quality of food, the opinions of tourists differ widely, which, of course, depends on the individual tastes of each, as well as on the shift of the restaurant staff. Judging by the reviews, there are conscientious workers, and there are not very good ones, because the quality of the dishes suffers. Mainly for breakfast the hotel offers scrambled eggs, sliced fresh vegetables, salads, sausages and cheese, pastries, drinks, cereals, butter, jam (pink jam), milk. For lunch, soups (powder), vegetable dishes, salads, fresh vegetables in various slices, chicken (portionwise), fish, side dishes, desserts, fruits are served. For dinner, the menu includes vegetable and meat dishes, side dishes, vegetables, salads, pastries, desserts.
Attention guests Galaxy Beach Hotel offers 3 bars - in the lobby, by the pool and on the beach (paid). Drinks are given one per person. To take the second one, you need to stand in line again. Free at the hotel you can get local beer, wine, some soft drinks. The rest is for the money. You also have to buy ice cream, but here it is cheaper than in local stores.
Sea
An excellent line of beaches can offer its guests Alanya. Galaxy Beach Hotel from the sea is located just 50 meters that you need to overcome by going through an equipped tunnel under the road. The beach in this place, like in almost all of Mahmutlar, is pebble with small admixtures of sand. Sun beds and umbrellas for hotel guests are free and free, mattresses are for money, beach towels are not issued, and it is not allowed to take those that are the property of the hotel for this purpose. The sea on the beach is clean, but the entry into it is complicated by numerous blocks of stone. During waves, entry is generally prohibited.

Galaxy Beach Hotel has one swimming pool (for adults) for its guests. Its depth is 1.6 meters, the dimensions are not very large, but there is always enough space for everyone. Around are sunbeds and umbrellas. Near the pool, an animation program takes place day and night.
For those who are accustomed to playing sports on vacation, the hotel has a gym, as well as billiard and tennis tables, and the beach has an equipped volleyball court.
For those who want to relax and at the same time improve their health, the hotel has a spa, where for the money you can visit the Turkish steam room, sauna, massage.
The animation in the hotel consists of daytime and evening programs, as well as delivery to the disco of neighboring hotels.
Leisure outside the hotel
The fact that Galaxy Beach Hotel 4 * (Mahmutlar) is located within the city is a significant plus. It is enough to go out the gate to get to the busy streets, where there are many inexpensive cafes, good restaurants, bars with a fun program. In addition, in the city you can buy souvenirs, clothes, shoes, and other goods well and profitably. Near the hotel there is a large market, which sells a lot of fruits and vegetables (reasonable prices). You can find entertainment in Mahmutlar itself. Here in the center there are several parks with fountains, as well as an amusement park.
Hotel for children
Galaxy Beach Hotel offers its young guests a children's pool, located near an adult, animation, as well as a small but interesting kids club. The hotel can provide a cot in the room upon request, but there is no special menu for kids in the restaurant, as well as children's furniture. The nanny cannot be ordered here either, because this service is not provided.
For a child whose age does not exceed 6 years (provided that he is not provided with a separate bed), payment is not made.

Holidays at sea in this region of Turkey can be associated with some difficulties: Mahmutlar is not located in a closed, cozy bay, so winds and waves are not rare here, and the sea is cooler, but it is crystal clear. Noted advantages:
- close to the sea;
- hotel within the city;
- close to Alanya, where there is a lot of entertainment;
- beautiful views from the restaurant, it's nice to be there and have a meal;
- working elevators, no problems with lifting to the upper floors;
- good SPA salon.
Noted disadvantages:
- unprofessional work of maintenance personnel, especially registration employees;
- the rooms have old furniture, plumbing, bedding, mattresses (hard, bumpy), pillows;
- room cleaning is not high-quality and not daily;
- from many of the rooms the windows open to the neighboring city buildings, which are located fairly close;
- very expensive internet, which also works poorly;
- too little choice of dishes in the restaurant, especially meat, tasteless desserts;
- portioned selection of meat and drinks;
- very long road from Antalya airport;
- very bad entry into the sea, the stones are such that you can easily hurt your legs, and when the waves do not swim at all;
- not too suitable for families with small children - there is no children's furniture, a special menu and, most importantly, a nanny, which means it’s unlikely to go anywhere or go on an excursion;
- no compliments from the hotel.
As you can see, there are more negative aspects than positive ones, and judging by the reviews, the hotel hardly pulls even by 3 *. However, as already mentioned, it is designed for unassuming tourists. People who are accustomed to relax in a big way, will rather choose a five-star complex.
