An easy way to create your own tulle pompom
In order to make one pompon, you need to prepare:
- Fatin - it is better to take it immediately in rolls to skip the stage of cutting it into ribbons. But if this is not, the usual wide one will do.
- Sharp scissors.
- Braid (non-slip) or strong thread.
- Tape for fastening the finished product.
- Cardboard or book - the larger their size, the larger the pompom.
- Thread with a needle.

If you have ordinary roll material, then first you need to cut it into strips - the wider they are, the more voluminous you get a pompom. The length of the tape is also important - the density of the product will depend on this.
We begin to wrap with tulle ribbon the base - a book or a cardboard rectangle. It is advisable to make 35-45 revolutions, as much as possible. You can also take tapes of several shades and create a smooth transition of color.
Now, very carefully, trying not to confuse the coils, remove the tulle from the book and tie it in the middle with braid or thread - make strong knots, otherwise the pom-pom may fall apart. Under this ribbon, do not forget to attach the ribbon for mounting!

Making decor with cardboard rings
Using the second method of manufacturing tulle balls, it will be necessary to prepare, in addition to the above tools and materials, also 2 cardboard rings.
To do this, take a thick cardboard and cut circles with a radius slightly larger than that of pompons. Cut a hole in the middle - you get blanks in the shape of bagels.
Cut the tape - about 30-40 cm and lay it between the blanks from cardboard. Now wrap a tulle ribbon on this ring, carefully watching that the braid remains between the cardboard. The turns of the tape should lie very tightly to each other, without gaps. The more turns there will be, the pompon will be more magnificent!
Take the scissors and cut the material between the cardboard parts around the perimeter. Tighten the braid tightly and tie it up after threading the tape or thread for later fastening in the required place.
Carefully remove the discs from the cardboard (do not tear them, use them several more times) and straighten the tulle by fluffing the pompom. All is ready!
Whip up pompons
Sometimes the celebration is rapidly approaching, but everyday affairs do not allow to thoroughly prepare for it and decorate the room. In this case, we offer you the following method of making pompons from tulle with your own hands. The master class is given below.
To create ten pieces, prepare the following tools:
- 2 m fatina of medium hardness.
- Thread and needle.
- Tape for mounting.
The first step is to cut the fabric into strips (twenty centimeters of width will be enough).
Next, you need to fix the thread in the center of one edge of the tulle ribbon and sew in the middle of it to the other end with straight, not very small stitches.
At the end of the work, you will need to tighten the thread and fasten it.
The last step will be the sewing of the fixing tape or ribbon.
