Kolpino - satellite city of St. Petersburg
In the first decade of the 18th century, saw mills were erected on Izhora by decree of Peter the Great. The second version (legend) says that Tsar Peter I on the boggy bank of Izhora stumbled, hitting a pine stake (the beginning of the name). Starting from the 18th century, the development of industry and the influx of population on the shores of Izhora exacerbated the transport situation.
