History
There is a legend about paper cranes by Sasaki Sadako, a Japanese girl who lived in Hiroshima. 08/06/1945 an American atomic bomb was dropped on a Japanese city . Sasaki at that time was in the house, only a few kilometers from the explosion. She remained alive, although a blast wave threw her through the window of the room. Nine years later, she began to die from leukemia - such a diagnosis was made by doctors. Just before her death, the girl found out about the legend according to which a person who made a thousand cranes from paper can make a wish that will come true! Sadako knew how to make cranes out of paper, but managed to add up only 643 - and died of an illness. Her friends finished the job, and the girl was buried along with a thousand cranes. Since then, in Japan, as well as around the world, the origami paper crane has been a symbol of peace.

As a child, we folded “frogs” from paper and boats, not suspecting that we were engaged in origami! How to make cranes out of paper ? The one who made the boats will be easier to learn. Here's how to make a crane out of paper with your own hands:
Take a square (required!) Sheet of paper. If you have a rectangular, regular sheet, then you need to cut a square out of it.
We fold the square sheet diagonally, unfold and fold it on the other diagonal. Then turn the sheet on the back side. Fold in half. We deploy again, fold them in half again, but on the other sides. It turns out the markup of intersecting lines.

Crane is ready, almost. The upper triangles become wings. The lower ones will be the neck and tail. Fold the lower triangles in half along, first on one side, then on the other.

Gently pull the ends of the wings. The back of the crane will straighten out in the center, add volume to the figure!
Application
