How to make a peacock quickly
This craft is very simple, it can be made even with a child of kindergarten age:
- We find the image of the peacock, we make a stencil of the silhouette of a bird or draw by hand and translate it on color cardboard. Legs, tail and wings do not need to be depicted. It is better to take cardboard on both sides or make two blanks of the body and glue them together.
- Gently cut the peacock with scissors.
- We take double-sided colored paper (office paper is also suitable) and fold it with an accordion. The more leaves, the more beautiful the craft will be, but you can take only one or two pieces. How to make a peacock out of paper spectacular? Fold 12-18 colored sheets.
- We divide the accordions into four heaps. We take the sheets from the first and glue them together. We do the same with paper from the remaining heaps. It should turn out to be big elegant fans.
- We draw the peacock eyes, nose, tuft, feathers. You can make these parts out of colored paper.
- We glue the fan on one side of the body, then on the other. Now in the same way we make the second row of the tail.
The peacock is ready! To make it stand, you can stick a cork stand on it.
How to make a peacock out of paper with your own hands: step by step we make an application
From colored paper or cardboard, we cut out the silhouette of a bird (it is possible together with legs). Glue or draw the eye. If desired, imitate feathers. Putting the torso to the side.
Now let's get feather feathers:
- From colored paper we cut strips (about 20-30 pieces). Their length and width will depend on the size of the body. The basis can be taken parameters: two by seven centimeters. The larger the feathers, the more spectacular the tail will be.
- We fold the strip along, on both sides we cut the corners and make cuts along the entire length with scissors. We unfold the paper, you should get a feather. So do with all the stripes.
- You can make feathers a little different. Fold the strip, with scissors we round one corner (not on the fold line). We make cuts from above and along the entire length. Expand the strip. It turned out no less interesting feather.
Now we will go directly to how to make a peacock out of paper with our own hands, that is, we begin the assembly:
- We take a cardboard or a sheet of paper, which will act as a background.
- Glue a tail on it from top to bottom, gradually increasing the number of feathers with each row.
- Put the trunk on the tail.
The peacock is ready!
Quilling applique
Still cut out the silhouette of the torso from paper or cardboard, glue it to the background. If desired, add a nose, eyes and crest. They can be drawn or made from colored sheets.
Cut paper of different colors into narrow strips. Wind them in a spiral with a toothpick or wooden stick. Let it bloom a bit, glue the edges. Use your hands to shape a drop, circle, or crescent. Glue the blanks on the peacock, forming feathers on the body and tail.
If the eyes, nose and crest were not added at first, then make them using the quilling technique as well. If desired, decorate the background with paper curls or other material.
Now you know how to make a peacock out of paper using the quilling technique. Experiment with colors and the width of paper stripes, and each time you get a new exotic bird.
Volumetric Peacock
We crumple a newspaper and form a body and a head out of it. The workpiece in the course of manufacture is fixed with paper tape. Then glue with napkins.
We attach a beak from cardboard or papier-mΓ’chΓ© to our heads. We cover the entire blank with paint: the beak is black or yellow, the body is blue or purple. Let it dry.
In the meantime, we will do the plumage. From colored paper we cut circles or semi-ovals, not necessarily evenly. They need so much that they cover the body and wings. Glue the feathers from the neck to the bottom.
How to make a peacock from paper with voluminous wings? Very simple. Two drops of the size of the wings are cut out of paper. Paste them with oval or round blanks of feathers. We try to give a convex shape with our hands. Glue the wings to the body.
From cardboard we make a blank for the tail. Cut the colored paper into strips, they will be feathers. We put them along and round the corners with scissors. Notched on three sides. From a paper we make a drop, then a smaller oval and an even smaller circle. They must be of different colors. Glue in the same sequence on the feather. So do with all the stripes. Glue the feathers to the workpiece on both sides. We attach the tail to the body.
Now the peacock can be glued to a board or stone, and weed can be made from green paper. Only the stand needs to be made weighty enough, otherwise the craft will tip over under its own weight.
How to make a peacock out of paper with your own hands (origami)
As with all origami crafts, take a square sheet of paper. Fold it diagonally. Expand the paper. Fold the paper along both sides of the paper. The craft at this stage should resemble a kite.
Now fold the sheet along the diagonal line that was made at the very beginning. We measure about one third of the paper from above. Bend this part inward so that the sharp corner that was at the top looks down.
Lift the edge up to get a neck and head. Now we lower the tip down, bending it inward. It will be the beak. The bird is ready. We will colorize it with bright colors so that it becomes even more like a peacock.
