When you need to get from one Russian city to another, there are few options. For example, for the Nizhny Novgorod-Yaroslavl route, you can buy a train or bus ticket. Despite the fact that the trip will have to take half a day, there is no possibility to use the plane. However, in this article we will consider all the existing options for such a trip.
By rail
A train is not only the most comfortable way to get from one city to another, but also the fastest. In total, you will spend about 9 hours on the road. At the same time, a train ticket will cost about 900 rubles from Yaroslavl to Nizhny Novgorod. Of course, it all depends on the type of travel document. The coupe will approximately cost the passenger 2,000 rubles.
If for some reason you didn’t get on a direct train, there are several more options. For example, from Tolyatti to St. Petersburg there is a train that stops in the two cities we need. And there are actually several such options: trains from Ufa, Samara, Orenburg to St. Petersburg also stop in Nizhny Novgorod and Yaroslavl. Moreover, the cost of tickets varies from 900 to 2000 Russian rubles.
We are not looking for easy ways
If for some reason there are no tickets left, and you really need to get from Nizhny Novgorod to Yaroslavl in the near future, then you can get on the messenger. This option is not so cheap: in general, you will pay from 1400 to 2700 rubles. But oddly enough, it is faster: you will spend about 8 hours on the road.
You will need to take a train to Moskovsk. A train leaves the main train station every four hours, and the journey time is 1 hour 33 minutes. For the first part of the trip you will pay from 650 to 1300 rubles.
Then in Moskovsk you will catch a train to Yaroslavl. It leaves from the main railway station of the city 3 times a day. On the way you will spend 5 hours 24 minutes, paying from 700 to 1400 rubles. At the same time, the minimum price for a compartment is 950 rubles.
How to get there by car?
If you have your own car, congratulations: the most comfortable travel option is available to you. For the Yaroslavl-Nizhny Novgorod direction, the distance is only 360 kilometers.
If you drive at an average speed, then after 6 hours you will overcome all the way. The best option is to follow the P152. Perhaps this is not the most comfortable solution, since the condition of the coating leaves much to be desired.
Therefore, you can spend half an hour more, but save car tires. You need to move along the Volga highway, then turn onto the E22 highway, and then go along the M7. The total path will be 455 kilometers.
The cost of the trip will be from 1300 to 2000 rubles. Naturally, if you choose a detour route, you have to spend more on gasoline, but your car will last longer.
We use someone else's car
If you don’t have your own car yet, you can use someone else’s. The cost of the trip in this case is very different: you can spend both 600 and 6000 rubles.
If you use the Bla Bla Car service, the trip will cost somewhere in 650 rubles. You just get in the car with a person who is already heading to the city you need. To somehow earn some money on this, the driver asks for a small amount and carries you with him.
Note that in most cases you pay less than for a train or bus ticket. And spend more time on the way.
An option for those for whom money is not important - take a taxi. It will cost you from 5800 to 7800 rubles. Such services are offered by the Main Taxi and Status companies. This option will be clearly cheaper than renting a car.
By city on the boat
Direction Nizhny Novgorod-Yaroslavl is one of the few that provide the opportunity to travel by water. If the duration of the move does not matter to you, then you can use this option.
You can get from Nizhny Novgorod to Yaroslavl by ship of different companies. For example, the ship "Mikhail Frunze" will take you to your destination in 4 days. In this case, the cost of moving will be 12,400 rubles (for a two-way trip).
Another option is to use the ship "Nizhny Novgorod". You will spend the same 4 days on the road, but the cost of the trip will increase. On average, you will fork out for 19 100 rubles for a round trip (9 550 rubles for a one-way ticket).
Bus
Buses also run along the Nizhny Novgorod-Yaroslavl route. We admit, this is not the most convenient option. You will pay from 1200 to 1500 rubles, and spend about 10 hours on the way. And all this time you have to sit.
The good news: the buses are now comfortable, with soft chairs and air conditioning. Therefore, if other options for some reason do not fit (or just bought all the tickets), you can try to get from one city to another using this mode of transport.
If suddenly all the tickets for a direct flight were bought up, then you can get to Ivanovo, and from there transfer to the bus to Yaroslavl. A trip to the transfer point will cost 900 rubles, while for the second part of the way you will have to pay from 350 to 600 rubles. The road to Ivanovo takes about 6 hours, add to this a 2 hour drive from Ivanovo to Yaroslavl. Transfer break takes about an hour.
