It is no secret that adults and young residents of Moscow who cannot imagine their life without skiing have the opportunity, without leaving the city, to do what they love, hone certain skills or learn new things. One of the places to do this is the Kant sports complex and the Nagornaya school of young skiers operating on its basis.
What is the Kant sports complex ?
First of all, “Kant” is a ski center, which has at its disposal 17 pistes with a length of 80 to 350 meters (total length of 3.55 thousand meters) and a height difference of 55 meters. Of this number, 9 runs are special training courses. Lifts operate on all tracks of the Kant ski complex on Nagornaya, and lighting is switched on at night. There is a system of artificial snow and the subsequent preparation of tracks for visitors using snow groomers.
The complex has its history since 1982. Then, in the floodplain of the Kotlovka River on an area of 12 hectares, the most grandiose Moscow ski resort was built by the forces of SK "Kant" and the youth sports school "Nagornaya"

The ski season opens here on December 15 and ends on March 15.

Education in the sports school "Nagornaya"
The Nagornaya ski school is considered the largest in the capital: about 80 experienced trainers and instructors work here, it has 9 training tracks at its disposal with a gradual increase in the difficulty of the descent. A positive point is that these routes are available only to students of a sports school. A convenient advantage is the moment that the cost of training includes the cost of a ski pass - a ski pass.
In addition, the Nagornaya sports school has 20 years of experience transforming its students into experienced snowboarders and skiers. You can train here both individually - one on one with the trainer, and in groups - small (up to 5 people) and large. Class schedule is free - in "Kant" it is possible to choose a convenient training time for yourself.
The training in the Nagornaya ski resort is phased: for the first time skiing or snowboarding, introductory classes are provided on the basic skills of skiing, then the students will go through the confident skiing stage, and, in the end, the real sports. In addition, school graduates and all comers can take part in alpine skiing sports competitions.
You can become a young skier here from the age of three, and a snowboarder from six. There are no age thresholds for the adult category of students.
Ski simulator
For those visitors who want to learn the skills necessary for a skier during off-season time, the ski complex on Nagornaya offers a SkyTec simulator. You can use it daily from 7.00 to 23.00, going to the building of the sports club "SkyTehcSport - Kant" (in the building where the indoor tennis courts are located).
These snowboard and ski simulators surprisingly accurately reproduce all the accelerations, obstacles that arise when descending from a snowy slope. The biomechanics and physics of such a peculiar "skiing" on the simulator exactly corresponds to the loads obtained during real skiing or boarding. This is achieved due to the fact that the simulators were designed based on the work of the tandem of scientists - mathematicians, physicists, engineers. Each device is equipped with meticulously verified mechanics, a large-scale sensor system, powerful power drives, and modern computer control.
Events based on "Kant"
The ski complex on Nagornaya is also a center of sports competitions, holidays and entertainment. On its basis are held:
