Despite the fact that reading today is not held in high esteem, many still love to spend several hours a day with a fascinating book in their hands. Even taking into account the fact that paper editions are actively replaced by electronic versions, it is safe to say that in many quarters there are personal libraries - small and large. It’s great when the books contain beautiful bookmarks, but sometimes it’s difficult to find something suitable in the store. But there is a solution: you can make bookmarks with your own hands! It is very exciting.
There are a lot of ways that tell you how to bookmark. You can, for example, just cut a rectangle out of color cardboard. Or you can use a glue to attach a small cloth bow to a paper clip. Any needlewoman will be able to weave bookmarks with her own hands out of floss thread . A lot of ideas - just choose! In the same article, you will learn how to make creative bookmarks with your own hands, which are usually called “corners”.
So, first of all, you need to prepare all the necessary tools: paper, colored cardboard, scissors, a simple pencil and a creative mood.
First, draw a template on plain paper. To do this, select the size of your bookmark. The best option is the side is 7 cm. Therefore, carefully draw a 7 by 7 cm square. After that, draw on the same square to the sides forming the same corner (of course, with the same dimensions - 7x7). Total we get one figure, consisting of three. Now draw the diagonals in the squares that you drew in the second and third turn, and cut off the parts that are shaded in the photo. Other areas that are not included in our figure must also be cut off.
Now that you have made the pattern (which, incidentally, can be used for other bookmarks), put it on a cardboard and circle with a pencil. Now cut it out! If you want to make the same bookmark that is shown in the photo, take a piece of the old colored wallpaper, make a square from them that will have a size of about 6.5x6.5, and stick it to our future bookmark, as shown in the image. And now, looking at the photo, bend the protruding “ears” of the bookmark. With your own hands, gently press on the folds, and then, glueing one of the triangles, glue it on top of the other. It is advisable to put several heavy books on the bookmark (and the books come in handy here!) For a few minutes - this will provide further strength of our craft.
In general, the bookmark is ready, but you can try to make it creative and unlike everyone else. In the future, you will use your ideas, but for now, repeat after us.
Stick another triangle cut from the wallpaper. From white and colored paper, cut out the teeth, as well as several circles from which you can make your eyes. Glue all these elements to our bookmark - and you're done, beauty! Now it can be used for its intended purpose.
