One of the largest reservoirs in the Perm Territory is Chusovskoye Lake. Translated from the Komi-Permyak language, the word "Chus" means "deep ravine." It is located in close proximity to the border with the Komi Republic and belongs to the Kama basin. Experienced fishermen from all over the country, lovers of successful and large-scale fishing, strive to get to this pond. Fishing is carried out year-round.
Area
Lake Chusovskoye (Perm Territory) is quite impressive in size and unusual shape. Its area is about twenty hectares. The wide expanse of water stretches for three kilometers, in length - for 18 km. The lake is relatively shallow. The average depth is about two meters. The maximum depth found in some places reaches eight meters.
Description
Chusovskoye lake has an oval shape or, as fishermen say, plates. The coastline of the water saucer is weakly expressed. On the coastline, mainly sand or silt. Low and underdeveloped vegetation (grass, sedge, reed) allows you to freely get to the water line. In percent, the degree of overgrowing of the reservoir is about forty.
Due to the swamp water entering the lake, it has a greenish yellow color. Despite a sufficient amount of silt along the coast, the reservoir is flowing and is a favorite place for fish to spawn.
Fishing
It is believed that the largest feeding place for fish in the Perm Territory is Chusovskoye Lake. Fishing here is always successful and trophy. Here you can catch pike, whose weight reaches twelve kilograms, and perch weighing up to two kg. The ide, zander, perch, ruff, roach, burbot and bream are excellent hooks. In wintertime, moving along the tributaries, grayling appears in the lake.
Experienced fishermen, lovers of pike hunting, loved Chusovskoye Lake very much. This fish is not frightened, so when fishing it does not resist at all, it stands with bulging eyes in surprise. Visiting fishermen try to get here in the spring or in the warm summer. It is believed that lack of fish here at this time does not happen. But locals say that even in winter frosty days, when the lake surface is covered with a thick layer of ice, the fish’s life does not freeze. How to get there
Getting into a reservoir rich in a variety of fish is quite difficult. Locals say that one of the inaccessible fishing spots in their region is Lake Chusovsky. How to get to a place for a beginner who has never been to these parts? How to find fishing "paradise"?
The nearest settlement is called Nyrob. The village is located a hundred kilometers from the lake. Unfortunately, you will not find an open path, a good road or an obvious beaten path to a reservoir. The first option is to get here using special equipment. In summer it can be an ATV, and in winter it can be a snowmobile or snow and swamp vehicle. It happens that fishermen get here due to the drop-off from an airplane or helicopter flying from Perm. Locals most often use a bicycle.
The second option is to use a motor boat, where you can climb the river and get to the lake. The third option, which is practiced by those who are not afraid of difficulties and a long road, is a car. First you need to get to the village of Nyrob. Then go along the dirt road for about twelve kilometers. Upon reaching the ferry, transfer to Vizhaihi ferry. Further, the path will run along the Colva. And already having reached it to Visherka, we follow it to the mouth.
In any case, the road will be long and difficult. But, as experienced fishermen say, who every year choose Chusovskoye as a vacation spot, the way is worth it. Fishing here is excellent and always successful. There are many fish, you can use different gears, experiment and train your fishing skills.

On the shore of the lake there is an old artel, where there is even a smokehouse. Now the artel does not function, but up to thirty tons of fish were caught in these places annually. Also nearby are a weather station and Cherdynsky fishing site.
Lake Chusovskoye (Perm Territory) is not only an amazingly beautiful place to relax and an incredibly good place for fishing. Here every year hunters gather. Unlike Verkh-Isetskiy pond, located within the city, the lake is famous for its clean water and a wide variety of fish. Local fishermen prefer to spend several hours on the road, but enjoy real successful fishing than spend ten minutes on the way to the reservoir and be disappointed in everything.
