Tula region is located in the center of the East European Plain. It was formed in 1937. Sights of the Tula region take their roots from the distant past. In 1503, Prince Ivan Vasilievich took Tula into his possession, and the city became the property of the Moscow state. In order to make the road to Moscow safe, the ruler ordered the construction of an oak fortress in Tula. Seven years later, construction began on a
stone city inside this fortress, modeled on the Kremlinβs capital.
The Tula Kremlin became a shelter for False Dmitry, the boyars came here to swear allegiance to the impostor. He was called the "city in the city." Almost the entire population lived in it. The historical Tula region created the sights of its Kremlin for a long time. Bolshaya Kremlin Street, the first of all in Tula, was also in here.

Tula Kremlin consists of nine towers. Initially, they looked like a chess rook. Spasskaya Tower warned residents of impending alarm. At that time, a bell was placed on it, and stockpiles of gunpowder were stored under it. Odoevskaya tower opened the gate to the road to Odoev. Nikitskaya had a dungeon in which torture was carried out. The Ivanovo Tower led into the city garden. She also had an underground passage overlooking the river. Angular is located closer to the meat row. The Pyatnitsky Gate tower kept weapons and provisions in case of a siege. Water Gate missed the procession for Water. There are two cathedrals on the territory of the Tula Kremlin. One of them today has become a museum of weapons.
