Applications with animals look very nice, they are also able to perfectly decorate the walls of a children's room. And almost all kids love to create cute muzzles with their own hands. Why not give them such an opportunity? Next, we will explain how to perform one of them.
The picture will show a monkey with a banana. The application "Monkey" will be made of fabric and will turn out to be very realistic in appearance and to the touch.
Materials for application
In order to make this craft, you will need:
- Thick cardboard in red or orange.
- Colored paper in brown, green, white and black.
- Brown velor, or other fabric with a pile. There should be two shades of fabric. One is brown, the other is light brown. Also suitable is a color such as coffee with milk.
- L nibble yellow smooth fabric.
- A simple pencil.
- Scissors with rounded ends for paper.
- Scissors for fabric.
- PVA glue.
- Transparent Moment glue.
- Felt-tip pens.
- Special chalk for fabric.
- Vata or foam rubber.
Beginning of work
- To begin with, it’s worth preparing several templates: a small triangle for the palm trunk, a small triangle for leaves, a circle a little more for the whites of the eyes and a smaller circle for the pupils, and an average oval for the nose.
- Then you need to cut out the details from the fabric. To do this, with a special chalk on brown fabric, a monkey's body, a head, a pair of ears, a foot with a brush of fingers that will hold a banana are drawn. On light fabric, you need to draw the inside of the ears and the muzzle of the monkey, on this piece should be the nose, cheeks and mouth.
- On a yellow cloth, draw a banana. Of these details, the application "Monkey" will be made.
- Then these details are cut with scissors for fabric. This is best done by adults. Because the fabric stretches, and special scissors are large enough. And in general, working with fabrics is difficult for children.
Application assembly
- The application "Monkey" from the fabric is collected from palm trees. To do this, several triangles are cut from brown paper according to the pattern. Triangles for leaves are cut from green.
- Then palm trees are glued to the background from two sides. The trunk is assembled from several triangles of brown color, triangular leaves are attached from above.
- Fabric parts are laid out in the middle of the cardboard. First, the body, then the head, on one side of the foot and a banana, on the other side of the tail. The foot should rest on the banana. Then the whole structure is outlined with a simple pencil.
- Now the tissue muzzle and the inner parts of the ears are glued to the monkey’s head. Then, the nose and whites of the eyes cut out according to the pattern, pupils stick to the whites. A mouth is drawn with a felt-tip pen.
- Then, along the contour, “Moment” glue is spread with a thin layer of cardboard. Departing from the contour, inside it you need to glue cotton wool or foam rubber. Cotton wool or foam should be glued a little, otherwise there will not be enough fabric.
- From above, covering cotton wool or foam, glued on the edge of the fabric details. The application "Monkey" turned out to be voluminous. Done!
End of work
After assembling the application, you need to erase the contours drawn in pencil, if visible. The finished applique “Monkey” is decorated with additional drawings of the sun, grass, clouds and so on. All drawings are made with felt-tip pens.
This application has two more options, but they are both not voluminous. In the first embodiment, cotton and foam are eliminated. Fabric parts are glued directly to cardboard.
The application "Monkey" made of paper refers to the second option. Here the fabric is completely replaced by paper. Paper parts adhere as usual.
Two types of glue are used in the work, and this is not just so. Paper and parts from it are well glued to PVA glue. “Moment” is preferred for other materials.
This work the baby should perform under the supervision of adults.
