In Moscow there were few of them then. And more precisely, the fountain on Theater Square in Moscow became the first public. He depicts four cupids, symbolizing such directions in theatrical and literary art as music, poetry, comedy and tragedy.
After the revolution
In Soviet times, almost all the streets in Moscow and other cities were renamed. This fate has not passed and Theater Square. For more than 70 years, it was called Sverdlov Square. Not only the name has changed, but the very appearance of these places. So, for some time a monument to the political figure Jacob Sverdlov was raised on the square, which had no relation either to the theater or to the history of Moscow. In 1991, the monument was removed.
