The Taneyev Manor has a rich history. Here the first buildings were completed in 1623. From that time an interesting story began of the Taneyev family and manor. Now in this place there is a resort area, in which residents from different regions of Russia come.
Rod Taneev
The coat of arms of this family speaks for itself. It depicts clouds from which a hand appears with a sword and shield. The Taneyev clan went from Balt, who came to service from Kazan.
There were many governors and centurions in the family. Almost all had merits before the rulers. On this occasion, they were awarded estates. Several lawyers, poets and ministers also left the Taneyev family.
In 1623, Tsar Mikhail gave Tikhon Taneyev the Marinino deserts. Since that time, the construction of the village began here. Then a temple was erected. In 1758, Mikhail Taneyev built a spacious house, which later became the center of the estate.
Members of the Taneyev clans since ancient times were also servants at the palaces of more than one generation of kings. So, Alexander Sergeyevich Taneev (son of Mikhail) became the manager of all financial affairs of Emperor Nicholas I. He was in charge of all financial matters of the tsar and his family.
Then the children of Alexander Sergeyevich continued his work. So, Sergey Alexandrovich worked for a long time in the state chancellery. He had four children who studied at home.
After the advent of Soviet power, mass repression began. They could not be avoided by the Taneyev family. Daughter Anna was imprisoned, parents were also persecuted for a long time, unable to withstand the next repression, died.
One of Anna’s brothers left for New York, where he died. The woman herself ended her life in a monastery.
The history of the estate
In 1808, construction continued on the territory of the village of Marinino. Andrei Mikhailovich Taneev ordered the demolition of the old wooden church, and a beautiful stone temple was erected instead.
The estate was planted with original linden alleys. Trees grew very close together and created entire arenas on the territory. Inside such bosquets, ponds were dug or covered gazebos were built for recreation.
Balls were often held at the estate. Famous aristocrats from all over the region came here and not only. The Tanenins family were closely friends with the Kutuzovs, Tolstoys, Tchaikovsky, Scriabin, and with some they were even related.
With the advent of Soviet power, the estate was hit hard. Many buildings were demolished, and the stone components were used by the villagers to build their household and utility rooms.
Homestead today
The area located in the Kovrovsky district plunges all visitors into the past. Here the score is lost in time, and it seems that you plunge into the 16th century. The territory of the estate is maximally preserved in its original form.
There are also white arbors with interesting carved details and benches that remind of gatherings and romantic adventures of those times.
