In modern architecture, styling and creating copies of cultural or historical objects in miniature are popular. In hotels, both the exterior and decor of luxury rooms are designed in the style of cities - trendsetters. For example, in the hotel-park "Europe" in Belgorod, suites are called "Milan", "Florence", "Rimini", etc.
Las Vegas already has its own Eiffel Tower, in Brussels - Mini-Europe Park with models of castles and other monuments on a scale of 1/25. And in Freiburg, Germany, there is an entertainment complex "Europe Park", where you can relax and see miniatures of famous buildings, from which thousands of kilometers are separated.
What does an entertainment center include?
In the park you can find not only slides. There are more than 50 shops, 7 hotels and a campsite, there are cafes and restaurants serving national cuisine, spa centers, a golf club and rental offices.
The complex is known for costumed and theatrical performances, various thematic shows. In the Spanish zone, one can see how knightly fights take place, in the Italian one - the Venetian carnival, and in the Russian one there is a puppet theater.
Even in this block, the attention of tourists is attracted by master classes by potters and other artisans in the ethnographic village. The complex also has its own version of the English Globus Theater.
The 4D-cinema located in the complex is also popular, where films about animal life are shown for children. Of particular interest to young guests are the Chocolate Land zone, the railway (it is arranged differently in each mini-country), and the Dinosaur Kingdom, created on the basis of the film Jurassic Park.
Television shootings are constantly conducted on the territory of the complex, and broadcasts are recorded. It is possible to organize conferences and other events of this kind.
The area is divided into 16 zones, of which 13 are dedicated to countries, and the remaining 3 are devoted to fairy tales.
Rides
The most popular among the guests of the "Europe Park" in Germany are several attractions:
- Euromir is a slide in the Russian zone, on it tourists fly past mirror towers and fall down in capsules rotating in a circle.
- The Norwegian Fjords is a waterway along which kayaking passengers race through waterfalls.
- "Silver Star" is the fastest attraction, the flight speed on it reaches 130 km / h.
- Poseidon is a Greek waterslide flowing from a statue of a Trojan horse.
- Seventh Heaven is a huge spinning sphere.
Schedule and prices
The park is open seasonally:
- during the summer period - from April 6 to November 3, 2019 from 9:00 to 18:00 (despite the set time, usually the attractions do not close until 21: 00-22: 00, but new visitors are not allowed after 18:00) ;
- in winter - from November 23, 2019 to January 6, 2020 from 11:00 to 19:00 (December 24 and 25 are days off).
The schedule changes annually.
Ticket prices for 2019:
- for adults - 52 € in summer and 44 € in winter;
- for kids up to 4 years old - free of charge;
- for children from 4 to 11 years old - 44.5 € in summer and 37 € in winter;
- for pensioners and people with disabilities, the prices are the same as for children.
Entrance to the park for 2 days is offered at a discount of about 6%, for 3 days - about 20%.
In winter, you can buy tickets for an evening visit (from 16:00) for 18/23 €.
Subscriptions for a year are also available, their cost for adults is 210 €.
Interesting Facts
Ronald Mack, owner of Europa-Park, was recognized in Germany as "Entrepreneur of the Year":
- In winter, not all attractions operate in the entertainment center, but this does not make the place less magical. A fair opens at Christmas. During the holidays, walking in the park, you can watch how Santa Clauses and bears ride on ice floes, build a huge Christmas tree from gifts and fireworks.
- In the "Ice Kingdom" zone all the time there is snow and a colored ice sculpture contest is held annually.
- One of the latest innovations of the park was the Alpenexpress attraction - the railway, on which visitors ride in virtual reality glasses.
Halloween at the entertainment center lasts more than a month - from September 28 to November 3. During this period, thematic decorations are installed - witches and pumpkins are everywhere.
