The Moscow station "Sukharevskaya" is located on the territory of the Central Administrative District of the capital and is part of the Kaluga-Riga branch. The station belongs to the three-vaulted pylon structures of deep laying, which has a peculiar shape resembling wheat sheaves. The depth of laying is 43 meters, and the diameter of the central platform of the hall is 8.5 meters.

The walls of the landing hall are lined with light marble "gazgan" and decorated with artistic chased works by artists S.F. Kolyupanova and S.T. Kolyupanova. The platform cover is laid out with granite slabs of various shades of gray. Continuous long strips of lights mounted above the pylons illuminate the hall and platform of the station. Strips of rolled aluminum were used for the ceiling of the escalator tunnel.

At the end of 1971, the metro section from Mira Avenue to Kitai Gorod, which connected the Kaluga and Riga lines, was commissioned. Thus, the Kaluga-Riga branch was formed. Two stations were built on this 3.2-kilometer stretch - Turgenevskaya and Sukharevskaya, which until November 1990 was Kolkhoz.

The station was commissioned in early January 1972. It consists of one direct island-type platform. The Sukharevskaya station received its new name in connection with the renaming of Kolkhoznaya Square to Bolshaya and Malaya Sukharevskaya Squares. The square had its former name even before the revolution. Here stood the famous Sukharev Tower, which was demolished in the 30s. The architect of the standard design of the station was RI The cellar.

On the "Sukharevskaya" there is no elevated lobby. The station has one underground lobby, which is connected to the landing hall with an inclined escalator tunnel. Entrance into it can only be done through an underground passage located on Bolshaya and Malaya Sukharevsky squares. Passengers can use the subway at the station from 5.40 a.m. to 1 a.m.

Near the metro station are famous theaters - named after Vladimir Mayakovsky and Moscow State Theater "Variete". Nearby are also other sights of the capital: House-Museum of the famous Russian artist A.M. Vasnetsova, Museum of the History of the Moscow Department of Internal Affairs, Museum of Folk Graphics.
