There are so many places in Russia that the modern tourist knows nothing about, or almost nothing. For example, the island of Ricorda. An amazing and unusual name that can easily be misleading. Well, after all, the truth is, the first thing that comes to mind when you hear something like this is some resort in Spain, Italy or, finally, Portugal, but not in our country. Well, perhaps it is worth exploring this place in more detail.
Location
Rikorda Island (Primorsky Territory) is located near the city of Vladivostok, only 32 km to the south, in the Gulf of Peter the Great. The island received its name in honor of P.I. Rikord - the admiral of the Russian fleet, navigator and statesman. The total area is 5 km 2 , and the maximum height above sea level reaches a mark of 178 meters.
More details about the island will be lower, but first itβs worth telling how you can get here.
So, how can you get to the island of Ricorda? Vladivostok is a key point, because it is the closest place to it, in fact it is necessary to build on this.
Air traffic
There are several ways to get to Vladivostok, but the fastest and most optimal one is, of course, the plane. Travel time from, for example, Moscow will be a little more than 8 hours, and the ticket price starts at 13 thousand rubles.
A train
You can also get to Vladivostok by train, which will be clearly cheaper than air travel, but you will have to pay time for a lower cost. As mentioned above, on an airplane from Moscow, the entire road will take a little more than 8 hours, but in the case of a train, it takes 7 days, i.e. whole week!
Car
Of course, the easiest way to get to Vladivostok is from the nearest settlements and cities. For example, from Ussuriysk on the A-370 road, you can get to the place in just 1 hour 10 minutes, and from Nakhodka in 3 hours. Naturally, further the distance only increases, and with it the travel time, so it does not make sense to go by car from more distant regions.
From Vladivostok to the island of Ricorda
So, after arriving at the place, a good question arises, how to get to the island itself? And here it is not so simple as it might seem at first glance. If ferries and public boats go to the Reineke and Popov islands , then there are no to Ricorda. The only way to get to the island is with a private boat, and there are 2 options where to find it.
The first is to ask someone to take you and take them back after a certain time, of course, for a fee.
The second is to contact a travel company and buy a tour for a few days. The only problem is that when the tourist season ends, there are fewer people wishing to go to the island, and travel agencies rarely carry out transportation. The best time to visit is July or August.
As for the price, the one-day tour will cost about 3000 rubles or a little less. In time, a one-way trip lasts from 2 to 3 hours.
