In the west of Canada is one of the most prosperous provinces, named after the wife of the Governor-General of the country and the daughter of Queen Victoria - Louise Carolina Alberta. Therefore, this fourth largest region is often called the province of the princess.
The economic growth
Immigrants are warmly welcomed here, because thanks to their work, the Alberta province was built, in which more than 3.7 million people live. They have unlimited business opportunities. Now the region is developing rapidly economically, and the unemployment rate is only four percent.
Alberta (Canada) is an attractive place to do business. Various companies open their representative offices here, which are attracted by skilled labor, low taxes and production costs, and the regional authorities maintain free competition and create favorable conditions for new manufacturers.
Oil Leader
Alberta is Canadaโs real energy storehouse, as it is the center of the country's gas and oil business. It occupies part of the plateau of the same name, rich in mineral deposits.
In the 30s of the last century, oil fields were discovered on the territory, and in 1947 - the Ledyuk field. In the present Klondike, a workforce was drawn, and its influx allowed the region to make a sharp economic leap. The province produces gas, rock salt, sulfur, iron ore, and brown coal.
Plateau Settlement
Once, about 10 thousand years ago, the Albert Plateau was a huge glacier. After warming in the south, it turned into a desert, and the primitive people who settled in the area experienced enormous difficulties for many centuries: it was unbearably hot in summer and incredibly cold in winter. It is believed that the first residents who appeared where Alberta is now located moved from the territory of modern Siberia, first to Alaska, and then arrived in North America.
This is one of the most attractive places for living, however, in an economically developed region there are serious environmental problems. For example, the waters of Lake Athabasca are poisoned by mercury, and various harmful substances are found in the meat of wild animals.
Four natural areas
For the traveler, the province of Alberta is a universal terrain that lies in four natural areas. Many are attracted by the diverse landscape, and if you go around the whole territory, you can see the prairies, rocks, and dense forests, and glaciers.
In the vast territory of the region, cold prevails, but in the south the frosts are not so severe. Winters are long and summers are short. Locals joke about the often changing weather: "If you donโt like something, then wait a few minutes."
