In Kamchatka, construction and reconstruction of ski resorts is actively underway. The regional government attracts investors from different countries to make the region a popular destination for tourists from all over the world.
The season is almost all year round; on the tops of mountains and volcanoes, snow also lies in the summer. The only difficulty for skiers can be blizzards in February and March.
Kamchatka ski resorts attract lovers of extreme skiing - freeride and heli-skiing.
Freeride - skiing or snowboarding on the virgin snow, and not on the laid tracks.
Heli-ski is a type of skiing, when the athlete in a helicopter is lifted to the top of the mountain, and he goes down himself (there are no tracks either).
In Kamchatka, ski resorts are not the only entertainment. Here you can go fishing, and hunt, and admire the scenery, get acquainted with the life of the local population.
When going to the resort, you need to consider that some of the regionβs bases are located in the border zone, others are intended only for athletes or are not open every day for tourists. For example, everyone can get to Krasnaya Sopka only from Friday to Sunday.
Prices in the ski resorts of Kamchatka are several times lower than in Europe. An inexpensive weekly tour with accommodation (breakfast may be included) and passage to the track costs 50-70 thousand rubles. The flight is paid separately.
"Frost Mountain" - the training center of the Olympic team

The base includes houses for visitors. Some of them have baths for 4-5 people. Rodnikovaya is one of 2 places in the Vilyuchi river valley where the hot spring comes to the surface, the water temperature can reach 62 Β° .
The length of the ski slopes here is up to 4.5 km.
