Unlike Samui, Phuket and Phi Phi, the Samet island in Thailand is known to few Russians. But he has long been popular with European tourists. It is a three to four hour drive from Bangkok. But if you came to Samet island in search of relaxation, then at your service are the southern beaches. They are not so big, but picturesque and secluded. If you live in an exclusive boutique palace, and not in a modest "three rubles", most likely you will relax on the west bank. The local beach of Aoprao has to appease and meditate. And from there you can go on a variety of sea excursions.
Samet Island and the small archipelago near it, as already mentioned, are part of the
National Park. Therefore, here you can find a lot of all kinds of exotic animals. This, for example, "hiccuping" geckos, huge lizards of two meters in size and monkeys. However, caution must be exercised with the latter. They are like people: some individuals can distract your attention, while others will pull something. However, the joy of contact with wildlife will be complete if you familiarize yourself with security measures. Samet Island (reviews of tourists confirm this) is called a paradise for divers and snorkellers. Of course, the underwater world of Thailand is not as bright as in Egypt, but the flocks of bright yellow banana fish that eat fruit right at your fingertips is an unforgettable sight.
Travel agencies also offer routes through the local jungle paths and excursions to several Buddhist temples. You can see the unusual shape of the stones, which have acquired such a bizarre appearance due to the wind and sea waves. They are located on Ao Puds Beach. And if you still liked diving, and you want to continue to explore the depths of the sea, go to smaller islands. There, at a great depth, you will see colorful corals, tens of thousands of gray-haired sea urchins with huge needles, giant shells that open and close valves and many other wonders. Samet Island is a real lost paradise! The only difference is that on vacation you can regain it.
