How to make a paper clapper yourself

Clapperboard - fun for children. Every student knows how to make a clapperboard from a sheet of paper. It does not require special skill or ability. Just a couple of minutes is enough and you can make a cracker using any of the existing schemes.

What you need to make a cracker

Depending on the selected method for the product, you may need:

• any paper: landscape or notebook sheet, newspaper, etc .;
• scissors;
• balloon;
• tinsel or rain;
• colored paper;
• sparkles or stickers for decoration;
• glue.

How to make an origami paper clapperboard

This is one of the fastest and easiest ways. It is enough to prepare a sheet of paper and know how to make a paper clapper. The process diagram is described below:

1. Place the sheet in front of you on the table horizontally. Fold it in half and press down so that the horizontal fold line remains visible.
2. Expand to its original position.
3. Each of the four catch sheet is folded to the center line. At the same time, they should dock with each other, but not overlap.
4. The workpiece must be folded in half (bent corners inward).
5. Now it needs to be folded again and doubled. A new fold line forms.
6. Now sharp edges need to be bent to this line.
7. Fold the workpiece again and double it.
8. Oblique lines form at the fold. On them and you need to fold the sheet.
   

Now you need to hold the product by its free ends and from this position make a sharp movement with your hand - cotton will sound.

During folding, pockets form in the bends of the paper. You can make a paper clapper as indicated in the diagram, or you can with a lot of pockets. With a sharp movement, they are filled with air, the paper is straightened, and a characteristic sound is heard.

That is why, the larger the size of the pockets, the louder the cracker turns out. Also, paper that is too thick should not be used, which will require more effort to straighten.

Festive cracker with rain and tinsel

This is a more solemn and colorful version of the cracker, which perfectly complements any festive event. Moreover, such a cracker is suitable for reuse.

1. Paper may also serve as the basis for the product, but in this case it should be denser. It is necessary to cut and glue from it a cylinder of the size that is necessary for a cracker.
2. Cardboard sleeves (e.g. from paper towels) can be used.
3. The balloon should be tied to a knot and cut off the end. It turns out something like a hat that you need to put on the sleeve. The ball nodule remains outside.
   
4. Now you need to glue the cylinder with colored paper and decorate it with sparkles or stickers. You can immediately use wrapping paper of the desired color.
5. Fill the cracker with tinsel and rain, cut into small pieces. There should be a lot of them (it is better to fill out completely). You can prepare a funnel from paper - it will be easier to put everything inside.
   

Hold the cracker open edge up. It is worth pulling the knot in the lower part and letting it go, when cotton will sound and rain will appear from multi-colored tinsel.
