By the way, the relics of this great man are stored in a local temple. Once there was his estate, and the name of these lands sounded like Uch-Kuya. This word is translated from Turkic as “three banks”, or “three wells”. I must say that the first of the options seems more logical, especially if you look at Uchkuevka from above. A beautiful view opens from Cape Tolstoy. From there you can see how the coastline bends - Uchkuevka is located right next to a small bay. Not far from the village you can see the Catherine’s mile - this is the name of the very first building of the hero city, made of stone. And moving down the road, you can come to the Bratskoye cemetery - this is one of the most tragic and no less ambitious monuments dedicated to the Crimean War. Of course, this is not the only historical attraction in Uchkuevka. Very close to the mournful place mentioned is St. Nicholas Church. It was built back in 1870, and the pyramidal building, symbolizing sorrow and eternity, cannot be confused with anything.
