The nature of the Meshchera region is sometimes amazing. Dense forests, a variety of flora and fauna, clean water. One of the pearls of the Meschera can be called Lake White (Ryazan Oblast). 22 kilometers from the city of Spas-Klepiki (150 km from the capital), this reservoir of karst origin is located. Millennia ago, water paved its way in the mountains, forming secret caves. Over time, they collapsed, and in their place a huge pit of water appeared. The reservoir in the Klepikovsky district of the Ryazan region is unusually deep and clean, like all the lakes formed in this way. There are many of them in any territory. Their names are traditional for all areas. In almost any region you can find the Holy, Light or Lake White. Ryazan region boasts one of the most picturesque of these sources.
Forests on all sides border the water surface. The depth of the lake is 52.5 meters. Although there are places where measurements show 101 meters. It is thanks to this depth that it freezes the very last in this region. Its area is more than 33 hectares, the coastline stretches for 2.2 km. The flora and fauna of the reservoir is diverse and unusual. For example, a midwort - a plant that has been preserved since the ice age - is a witness to a long-gone era. It can be found only in three areas: Ryazan, Vladimir and Moscow - at the bottom of karst lakes. But as for the fauna, Lake Beloe is also rich in it (Ryazan region). Fishing here will be very, very exciting. Of course, in the summer it will be difficult to catch anything at a depth, but fishing near the shore can be very plentiful: pike, tench, ide, roach, perch. True, a large number of vacationers may well violate the peace and quiet necessary for fruitful fishing. And when the ice begins, lovers of winter fishing will feel completely in their element. Foam beer lovers in the season can please themselves with freshly caught crayfish.
Vacationers can be found here at any time of the year. Moreover, there may be several options for spending time. Enjoy the stunning nature, but at the same time you can heal a little if you come to the sanatorium. Lake Beloe (Ryazan Oblast) is also a haven of tourists who prefer a “wild” vacation in tents. With the arrival of warm days, tents begin to appear on the shores. Fans of scuba diving with pleasure plunge into the depths. True, local residents try to restrict access to the lake to outsiders, build fences that reach the water itself, and therefore it is possible to approach the lake only from the south and west. On the other hand, a large flow of tourists leads to a gradual pollution of the reservoir, although summer residents make their “contribution” by dumping waste into the water. Such environmental degradation forced local authorities to take urgent measures. Due to this, at the moment, vacationers have stopped washing cars in the lake and leave them far from the water, bonfires are equipped on the shores, and garbage is stored in specially designated places.
Far beyond the Meshchera Lake White is famous. The Ryazan region with its pearl attracts many guests who come here for beauty and new experiences.
