Almost all children (and some adults) love to sculpt various figures and figurines from plasticine and polymer clay. It is especially interesting to create various techniques with your own hands - airplanes, cars and rockets. From this article you will learn how to quickly and easily mold an airplane from plasticine or plastic. First, let's talk a little about materials and tools.
Materials and Tools
Before you start buying materials, decide which plane you will sculpt from clay or clay. If you want to entertain your child, then buy the usual colored plasticine for children's creativity. And if you want a durable figure, then stock up with polymer clay. In addition, if you will sculpt a large plane from plasticine, then take another foil, wire and base for the wings. Of the tools you will need mostly stacks and knives.
How to mold a plane with plasticine from a child
Making a plane with a child is easy! The main thing is to stock up on more material. Blind the airplane body first. From above in its form, it should resemble a carrot. Then roll a piece of plasticine into a layer 5-6 mm thick and cut out the wings, fenders and tail of the plane. Stick it all neatly to the aircraft body. In addition, from white and black plasticine make eyes and a mouth. But the chassis cannot be made. Plasticine is a rather soft material, and therefore can bend under the weight that the aircraft has. Modeling from plasticine is a very interesting activity!
When you sculpt with children, then use plasticine stacks. So you protect your child from painful cuts.
More complex aircraft model
With an older child, you can already think how to make plasticine out of plasticine more realistic. Under the supervision of an adult, a child can already use a special modeling knife. This model is quite simple and easy to make. First, shape the body into a long cone. Then roll a plasticine layer into a cake and cut wings and tail out of it. Stick them to the body. Then from the white piece of plasticine form the cockpit.
From dark gray or black plasticine, blind the propeller blades. Stick a small ball of blue or red in the center. The plane is ready!
Plasticine airplane with skeleton
But before you mold a plane with a frame from plasticine, stock up on material and, of course, patience. You will need not only plasticine itself, but also foil, wire and, possibly, the basis for the wings. If desired, such a model can be molded from polymer clay and then burned. Such a figure will last you much longer.
First form the wireframe. Plasticine aircraft must be stable. The frame should be in the aircraft body, wings and landing gear. There should be foil in the case if you do not want to spend a lot of material on the plane.
Then carefully glue the framework with plasticine or polymer clay. It is better to cut the wings and tail with a knife, as in this case there will be more even edges. On the wings you can stick an emblem in the form of a white star on a red circle. For this, it is best to use cutters. Then blind the propeller, surround it with plasticine landing gear and make strips of red plasticine on the sides of the aircraft body. Stick a small cone of white plasticine in the center of the propeller. Do not leave your product in the sun, otherwise it may deteriorate. The plane is ready!
You can sculpt a variety of models. These can be large cargo liners or, for example, small aircraft with bunk wings. If the wings are too big, then you can use a plastic or wire frame for them.
How can I replace plasticine
If you want the aircraft to be stored for a long time, then blind it from baked polymer clay. Due to its high cost, this material is not very suitable for children, but adults like to sculpt from it. After baking, such an aircraft will become hard and its wings flexible. And in the fall, he is unlikely to break and, of course, will not rumple.
In addition, you can mold a plane from mastic for cakes. The model is molded in the same way as from plasticine. Such a plane can decorate any children's cake for the holiday!
